(keep in mind that almost all are Triggered encounters, meaning they might not be standing out in the open or may be held back till a vanilla event in the area has been cleared so that they don't conflict with quests and such)

Hmm...I think I may have seen those skull masks somewhere before...haha XD Great job Blah. These things are fun to play with/run from...Nice doggy! Stay! And makes a good companion the your Driveable dogs mod. Nothing better than killing a Ruff Rider (and its dog) and stealing its loot to deck out your own rideable dog. (my shinies, mine!) Also like the fact that if you kill the dog mount, the rider falls off and rag dolls making you think you've killed them both only to have the rider get up and go after you on its own. And vise-versa for killing the rider first. Makes for great game play. And they have separate inventories (twice the shinies!) so don't forget to loot both bodies!
Always gotta watch out for the tag-teaming too. Just because you see one Ruff Rider and are fighting it, 5 will get you 10 that there's another one lurking nearby waiting to sneak up and eat your face when you least expect it.
love this mod so much not gonna lie! tho i do wish it was compatible with oppressor dog armor... or had its on variation of the head piece from oppressor armor that thing looks beast
I really like this mod but the ruff riders are beyond hard in my experience. Playing on survival mode (which to my knowledge increases the damage the player does) and thee things are absolute bullet sponges. Any chance of another version with less health?
Not by me, no. But I’m happy to hereby provide you my approval to create a patch (that is mastered to this mod) containing your preferred survival-friendly health/level/difficulty adjustments and release said patch on Nexus if you like. 👍
great mod but id recommend installing towards end game.Everyone i have encountered has been so many levels above me that they take 3-4 times more ammo than a super mutant behemoth,will say when combined with this mod is very entertaining as it allows the dogs charge attack to knock people over including the player Ragdoll Bullet Knock-Back Physics at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)
I'm crashing to desktop when I try to load this on my 500+ mod list. Anyone know who's the culprit? Just kidding, but if anyone has any idea what might cause this I'll appreciate it.
I believe it might be incompatibility with new game version since the mod is old, or obviously other mod conflict, but Mod Manager or fo4edit shows nothing.
I just wanted to stop by and leave a big F U for this mod. Out of all the "creepy" "scary" creatures I added to my game these things are the worst. They always show up at the worst times and when least expected. I get into a big fight and kill everyone and think I'm safe, I turn to my right and look right into this things mouth wide open biting me. Then another comes around the corner. This mod is staying in my load order from now on. Still F U tho. This crap gives you heart attacks and I love it lol
Edit: So after playing with this mod for awhile, they are crazy overpowered. I play Survival with Better Locational Damage and a list of other realistic mods and they don't effect these dogs. They run around slaughtering everyone. What option in FO4Edit could I change to lower the health?
I had 4 at a time spawn. One is enough, 2 is crazy. But 4? Naw.
And the one dog always goes invisible. So now your fighting 3 crazy tough ass dogs, that don't stop and one goes invisible. Great mod still, needs a little fine tuning.
