The FOMOD options that are supposed to determine whether or not we have matte black 10mm pistols, mirrored sunglasses, black vault suits et al are not doing what they are supposed to do - which is to say, that these options are automatically included by the mod whether I want them or not.
Edit 22 Mar 2019: Feedback.
I like this mod a lot. It permits "modifying" the Fortaleza Valkyrie armor pieces (not all of them, just the body armor) from Project Valkyrie, which may or may not have been deliberate. If this is a happy side effect then by all means leave that property intact please!
The ~ weapons are fun. A fully automatic Rambo-10mm with no recoil unleashes all kinds of merry Heck in-game.
Two suggestions: 1. Get the FOMOD to function correctly. The mod adds in the "optional" items whether you want them or not. 2. Make the level list injection optional. I'd prefer to have to make these lovely items. The gods help us all if the bad guys are equipped with a fully tricked out version of any of these weapons. They'd make very short work of most characters!
i cannot find any issues in the FOMOD installer. i used the creation tool off this site to make it and it's the same as it's been for sometime now. No on the leveled lists; i like mine. those cheated weapons aren't tricked out when the game attaches one to a npc/character so there's no extra effects. Fortaleza's armor probably uses the same keyword for cheating effects i attached to a number of other clothes & armors that weren't there before. that's probably why it suddenly shows up.
Alrighty, thanks for checking. AWKCR and AE may have messed things up with the FOMOD installer. I'll take another crack at it to see if it was something stupid / simple on my end. Which it probably was. Thanks again for the mod!
Bug confirmed. Installed using Vortex with none of the "options" selected. Pip-Boy, Vault Suit, 10mm Pistol are black in-game. I do not have AWKCR or AE installed.
I have the same issue and I really didn't want my high textured vault suit to be black. When you say that npcs don't inherit the effects of the boosted weapons, does this include your companions? Because that would not be good for me?
The second issue is. Where are they? I have the Legendary modification bench, the armorsmith bench. and the armor bench for clothing, armor and power armor. I have a jumpsuit that I want to modify and on the armor workbench under the "misc" slot I can choose "cheating conversion". So far, so good but this gives me nothing. Other than the "misc" slot, I have two other slots - one for "weave" and one for "legendary" but none of the wonderful abilities from the 'cheating conversion'. How do I get them? Do I need a particular bench? Is it the outfit I am trying to modify? Any clarification would be most welcome.
I also had trouble getting the cheats to appear - I think it was because I was trying to apply the cheat to an item I have more than 1 of. I had 2 "Vault Suit - New", I tried applying the cheat to one of them, nothing happened. I applied the cheat to the second one as well, then the cheat options appeared.
I stopped experimenting after that and uninstalled the mod because I couldn't handle the enforced emo-ness. But try applying the cheat mod to an item you only have one of, or applying it to every copy of the item. I consider this a minor bug and would definitely use the mod despite it, but the enforced emo is a deal-breaker for me.
I've been checking back regularly for a bug fix because this mod sounds very appealing to a big fat cheater like me. Please fix!
I fixed the installer. This should fix the esp not found error, and keep all the black textures from installing unless you select them in the installer. Replace the contents of fomod/ModuleConfig.xml inside the zip file with the below:

hman720's UPDATED XML file worked like a charm!! Thanks man, I was about to add this to my broken and abandoned list, but replacing the xml file after downloading the mod manually did the trick! Just download manual, find the ModuleConfig.xml inside the zip file and replace with the text hman720 provided using Notepad, save it and replace with same name, Volia! It should be working now. Glad I googled and guessed / figured out editing .xml files is just saving it in notepad. and here I thought i was done for with it opening in internet explorer and looking all difficult. nope, just a plain old notepad saved as .xml once again thank you hman720
I seem to be having problems with: - nuclear physicist (level 2 does not unlock, even if I meet the requirements) - traps (without this mod I do not trigger them when sneaking, as soon as this mod is enabled, traps are triggered)
Sorry for the mix up with the file name(s). i forgot to update the installer file with the proper named file after i renamed it. Shouldn't be a problem anymore.
to anyone having problems with black itens... if u download manual probaly u wont have the problem since u used only cheats.esp to install it
if u have used vortex: 1- run vortex 2 - find the instaled mod, right click on it and select open in file manager ----> a new window will open with: fomod, materials, meshes, textures, changelog.txt, fallout_cheats.esp, fallout_cheat.txt 3 - now open a new windows and go to your fallout 4 data directory, normaly it is someting like this: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data -----> in this directory you will recognise many file with the name of your mods 4 - the folders MATERIALS, MESHES and TEXTURES delete everything that is the same from the STEP 2 ******** WARNING********** many mods use those folders, so u can have more archive in yout fallout data folder than in the mod folder, example u have a pink vault suit mod, its mod file will be in textures too

The bug issue 'disconnected' is pretty much eliminated by removing Armorsmith & AWKCR from the masters list. That caused me to stop using their expanded attachment keywords and revert to only one, their ingame 'miscellaneous' attachments category. That has caused the tesla & stealth field effects to stay attached. I have had hundreds of encounters and have only unequipped (Dogmeat, using goggles) and reequipped him once. I've found playerNPCs are more unstable when it comes to equipping them with something else after they're cheating~wearing. I've found I always have to make sure to unequip / reequip their cheated item last before closing the menu. This doesn't effect weapons' cheats.
I don't do anything to workbenches or furniture with any of the Fallout_Cheats. If you're using an old version like Cheating Conversions, that maybe conflicting with another because of the significant quanity of other overwrites I used at the time to fix ingame or vanilla errors as I came across them while writing these cheats; some where even done for the cheats. Anyway for workbenches I only added; two foods and an aerosol to cooking and; the rings & weapons at chemical stations but modify them through their respective workbenches. Now that I think about it, I should make it so one can craft Tactical Clothes at chemical stations. I'm using Homemaker Expanded & Sim Settlements to name the two biggest plugins effecting workbenches, furniture, settlements, etc. and nothing changes mine. I have a number of 'effects' mods too like, TrueStorms, WAYN's Companion Tracking, Darker Nights, AutoDoors, Better Settlers & Better Companions. I don't have much stuff that adds tons of images into workstations. I've just found for instance, I think Sim Settlements unhooked the vanilla crafted ceiling light blub to ones shipments in inventory. Arrow over once to that stupid yellow hazardous conditions light and poof! everything's there again; I just installed it the other day because he's right, micromanagement crap.

- nuclear physicist (level 2 does not unlock, even if I meet the requirements)
- traps (without this mod I do not trigger them when sneaking, as soon as this mod is enabled, traps are triggered)
I got a problem, when i enable the mod vortex say "cheat.esp" doesn't match any file, and in game nothing happen when i customise weapons or armors...
Help please :)
if u download manual probaly u wont have the problem since u used only cheats.esp to install it
if u have used vortex:
1- run vortex
2 - find the instaled mod, right click on it and select open in file manager
----> a new window will open with: fomod, materials, meshes, textures, changelog.txt, fallout_cheats.esp, fallout_cheat.txt
3 - now open a new windows and go to your fallout 4 data directory, normaly it is someting like this: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data
-----> in this directory you will recognise many file with the name of your mods
4 - the folders MATERIALS, MESHES and TEXTURES delete everything that is the same from the STEP 2
******** WARNING**********
many mods use those folders, so u can have more archive in yout fallout data folder than in the mod folder, example u have a pink vault suit mod, its mod file will be in textures too
&&&& im afraid i gonna delete something i shouldnt.... DONT, if u open the folders i told, you will find the model for black everything in images.... those are the guys you gonna be deleting
EDIT: nevermind, did myself... and is overkill AF !
