    My issue is with completing the asylum quest I sided with Lorenzo. I can't get the dialog to start when you enter the house. Essentially rendering the quest unfinishable.

      Same, I dont know why. Jack doesnt even talk to me and then after i walk around, there starts a whole shooting segemnt

    Good mod. I usually catch Jack before he gets old and the quest gets messed-up, but this will be a great help for when I don't. I wonder though, would it be possible to also move Jack to his home lab for this encounter? His speech after Lorenzo's death indicated that you should come see him "at Cabot House" and it never made sense to me that he was still hanging about at Parson's after there was no longer any need to be there.

    You should clarify in the mod description that this fix will only work if you have waited too long (2 weeks or more) to go back and see Jack - which is when he turns old in accordance with the timer that is set. If however you go back and see him after 1 week (when he misc objectiver appears), he is still young and you dont get the bug since the dialogue condition you refer to is correct.

    The real bug that needs fixing is the issue with the game timers - one timer tells you to go back and see him about the artifact after 1 week (when he is still young) whilst another timer turns the Cabots old (which is 2 weeks). So visiting him before 2 weeks expires = no bug. The best fix would be to turn him old after 6 days and collect the artifact after 7 days, then adjust the dialogue condition - this way, the bug will never arise. Your fix here also does not take into account the random encounter with him and Edward that can also occur later - in the circumstances you have described, that random encounter will still check for the young Jack.

      I understand everything here you have posted except one thing. "the random encounter with him and Edward that can also occur later". Under what conditions does that occur? It didn't happen in my game.

      Also I understand your concern for pedantism, but I pretty much explain what the issue is and what this fixes (not to mention old Jack is in the pictures, so hard to see why someone would get confused), so explaining that only works for the old jack bug is redundant. But I will change the dialogue conditions just in case someone decides to do a new run with this mod.

      In addition, fixing the timers would actually be sloppy modding, and the reason for that is if the serum according to the game lore loses it's effect after two weeks, fixing the dialogue conditions would be the most logical step towards correcting what the game should do. Don't set the timer to a week if the serum by game lore loses effect after two weeks. That takes away from the immersion.

      Please refrain from posting criticisms unless you are actually willing to help instead of speaking ill about my modding style. Also you misunderstood what I was saying and assumed I meant something doesn't happen because it didn't happen in mine. I was simply asking when it happened for more information to help fix the issue. Thank you for your information otherwise.

    I always dread the entire Cabot questline, because for me it always breaks during the "Finding Emogene" quest where she's supposed to be at that Dome in the park, but she's not there, and her quest marker moves back to the house, but she's not there either.
