If you have problems with flickering in Nuka-World, please be sure to load this mod as late as possible in your load order. I know why this happens - mods like Boston FPS Fix overwrite my optimisations and the game gets confused if my mod loads before. The optimisations are needed to retain good FPS while still having my changes.
The same thing is needed for VNW, if you have it installed.
1 - If you have any mods which affect the textures, lighting or layout in the Fizztop Grille - you may not be able to get into Lucy's lab. Version 1.44 onwards has a workaround for this. If the original elevator door is detected to be enabled when you enter the Fizztop Grille, there will be an auto swap for an easily accessible trapdoor. Likewise, if it is detected to be disabled, the original door comes back as normal.
2 - Used to be FPS issues and sprinting, but thanks to the help of yarrmateys, they are no more.
If you don't like this mod's story and want to experience a simpler one, you can download Viva Nuka World and remove the Exiles from the lore. Then, you'll just have a few introductory quests from Lucy and go the better quests in Viva Nuka World.
I have encountered the following problem. After completing the NW Brotherhood quest to replace the administrator powers in the Institute, you need to talk to Claire. The next quest starts. When talking to Claire, she says that she is taking over the Institute and is waiting for your report. At the same time, the quest marker keeps pointing at her, and requires you to ‘talk to Claire’. Is this a bug, or do I need to find some kind of report and bring it to her?
Note: The Commonwealth Brotherhood was destroyed earlier in the America Rising 2 mod quest. Father is also dead. The Institute is allied and under the control of the Enclave.
Also after the first Brotherhood NW quest there is no way to take Claire as a companion, although the game says she is available as a companion at that point.
I believe that the mod has never taken into account any other mods affecting the Institute. It only detects if you've become Director or successor of the Institute the vanilla way.
Try SetStage NWR_BoS_05 28 since you lead the Institute, it shouldn't be any issue.
I do recall that while Finishing Touches is ongoing, you cannot have Claire as a companion. If by finishing the quest, she still isn't one, I can give a console command to get her to be one. Though she should've been recruitable after the first quest - this has always been my way of recruiting her.
Thanks, the code helped to complete this quest. But the next quest that Claire gave (to investigate Amanda's disappearance) is not shown on the map (No marker on the map. I don't know where to go or where to look). After starting this quest, she gets a dialogue where you can tell her is told that either Lucy or the NW Institute want her dead. In that case Claire sends you to talk to the director of the NW Institute and settle the matter with a code phrase. But she (NW Institute director) has no dialogue about Claire. I have two questions: who is Amanda (quest from Claire) and where to find her?
Spoiler:

I did not go through the quest line to become the director of the institute. But the quest doesn't seem to conflict with the aftermath of America Rising 2. Perhaps the conflict was due to the early death of Father (as a result of passing AR2), because of which you can not pass a series of quests to become director of the Institute. That's why Claire's quest hangs on ‘talk to Claire’. Console code helped to advance. But the issue of the suddenly appearing dialogue with Claire about her murder remains unclear. Lucy had no dialogue about Claire's murder. Neither did the director of the Institute. Hints about her murder appear in the correspondence on Lucy's terminal, if you kill Claire together with the Brotherhood on Lucy's assignment
And yes, she is still unavailable as a companion. The quests are pouring in, but she doesn't want to be a companion. I think I need a console command.))
Hi - Just starting out in Nuka-World this week. I have your NWR and VNW, and also PV, OAR, Depravity, and Fusion City - all Thuggy mods.
Spoiler:

My intention is to try and get all the main Commonwealth factions to survive, and to rebuild the institute in PV. But I haven't done that yet. In Nuka-World, I had run the gauntlet and went back to the Commonwealth before installing your mods. Since then, I have talked to Lucy and Cage, and also Nisha. I want to do some of the vanilla Nuka-World Raider gang content, but maybe not all of it. Basically I want to play as more of a "good guy" perspective. Ha! Okay, maybe a good guy with a lot of attitude would be more accurate! But I don't want to do anything like raiding my settlements in the Commonwealth. Sorry, it has been a while since my first playthrough, but I hope you see what I am trying to do.
My big question is, with as few spoilers as possibe... before I go any farther in Nuka-World, should I go back and do the PV quests to rebuild the institute? Or can I do that later. If I need to rebuild the Institute first, should I go back to the save before I talked to Lucy and Cage? I hope that makes sense.
You can spare Claire and keep her as a companion if you do PV first. However, even if you don't, you can get rid of the raiders using the NW Brotherhood without needing to do PV first.
I have War of the Brotherhoods quest active saying talk to Claire, but there is no map marker - and the quest is at stage 30, which probably makes sense because of other PV progress. Claire is in that Alias Cell at the moment. Also, in PV, I have done part of the Revolution will not be Televised, built the teleport gun, but stopped there before coming to Nuka-World.
So... is Clair just not available at the moment, waiting for the other quests to progress until she is needed - and she will be brought back into Nuka-World, or is War of the Brotherhoods stuck now? I did say hello to Clair in the Alias cell, and I do like her voice, so I don't want to lose the chance to have her as a companion.
The closest thing that skips the train ride between the Commonwealth and Nuka-World, is in the Bedington mod. You'd need to take the vertibird from the Transit Center to the new worldspace, go south to the old pipe and then take a door to the Nuka-World worldspace. But that is cumbersome.
Alternatively, there is a bus that goes between the new worldspace and Nuka-World, but sadly, that's only enabled once you finish NWR and VNW.
It'd be easier for me to try to resolve the conflict myself.
I installed this Quest Mod but every time I start the Game it starts with the quest Fair Trade Part 6 (!). If I go to Lucy and enter the room, Part 1 starts but I can only speak about Part 6 with Lucy. If I stopped Part 6 using console commands, then it is possible to talk about Part 1 with Lucy, but then it is not possible to restart Part 6 again.
I deinstalled all my Mods but it did not help. (I play with the German version of Fallout 4 NextGen) Is there any chance to force the start of Part 1 at game start or suspress the auto start of Part 6?
If you got rid of the raiders through Open Season, best to force stop Fair Trade Part I instead. I'll have the trigger disabled so Part I can never start if you did Open Season already.
i know this far fetched but you consider making a mod where you turn Nuka world into new Vegas and turn the raiders into the ncr and start the game in Nuka world and invade the commonwealth as the ncr
I actually made the Traders as the closest equivalent to an East Coast NCR. VNW already cleans up the parks and reuses them as before the war. And it might be possible that the Traders could invade the Commonwealth and make their own mark on things.
But not the Raiders. I have made them too fractured to come up with an NCR.
Fair Trade V ask you to claim Kiddie Kingdom. However, in Fair Trade IV, we already visited the tunnel to get to get to [quest target]
There's a vanilla bug that, if you don't do the kiddie kingdom in certain order and make sure every step is right, the quest get stuck before the final confrontation. And, I got this again. (this thing happened a lot for everyone after certain year of Fallout 4. Don't know whether it's official update or the unofficial patch)
So, is there anyway to bypass this thing? (other than console commands) Does wiping out all the raiders do the job. I hope there can be something to bypass the park occupying quest all together, but not the NWR quests. After years of Fallout 4, got really sick of all the parks. The fault is one Bethesda. They were boring even on the first playthrough.
Not even Open Season can bypass the quests. However, I've always toyed with the idea of having a terminal to allow you to pay caps and then you can hire mercs to clear the parks. But that'd be easier said than done, and the quests have so many variables that it'd need extensive testing.
Logically, though, it'd have to be added to the third mod Bedington through a terminal or holotape (or both) and it hasn't been fully voiced yet.
I just started viva after NWR. I guess PRP again blocked your entrance to the new station(to Tairfield) in nuka world. I got 'tcl' to get pass through the wall to reach the door.
Unfortunately, PRP is necessary after next gen because of the huge performance drop vanilla game has in many many areas.
It would be fantastic to have that merchants clearing park feature. They don't have to actually occupy anything in the park. Only need the quest stage to proceed. The argument can be, the money's paid. But the actual operation will happen in 3 months.(like the real world situation)
I noticed your new mod. AI voice is really common nowardays. Even in many youtube videos. They sound super realistic I would say. Not sure whether that can reduce your workload.
There could easily be a backup door to the Regional Station, no problem.
And I actually do use some professionally cloned voices for almost every female role. But I am waiting for two other roles which were already cast. I can add a holotape that will allow you to clean up the parks for sure. Always planned on it.
After all these years, I still can't fast travel to Institute Exile in Nuka World. Yes, I can travel to commonwealth institute. Nothing's wrong. I posted this before, the problem being: Formlist: HC_FastTravelAllowedList Viva nuka world overwrites nuka world reborn with only Tairfield added to the list. Institute exile not included.
Why it's never fixed? It's just a matter of me dragging that item to the right in FO4Edit. No one actually plays on survival to realize this? Or there's some other way everyone else knows? Only me, blinded?
It wasn't fixed because I never had an issue with fast travel on survival mode. But you're right - only the XDI version has this issue, so I'll be able to fix it.

Try
SetStage NWR_BoS_05 28

SetStage NWR_BoS_05 80
This would adjust events accordingly and Claire will be in the reformed Institute. Do her final tasks and you can have her as a companion.
Or is it redundant?

You never had this. how? Mechanism wise. Unless you have some merged esp?
