Yeah this gun doesn't fit fallout lore, as in-lore the jackhammer passed testing and was mass-produced, and it doesn't even stick to real life, as the "pump" is actually a mp5 handguard welded onto the gun by the guy John Anderson sold the gun to.
Also the fallout pancor has a wooden handguard and is less round.
That's not what the commenter meant, zombie. They meant the Author's version of the Pancor doesn't fit well with the in-lore description of the classic Fallout's Pancor.
So long as it actually looks like it fits in with the game, why not? Honestly, I'm not a pro on lore for Fallout but so long as its not like: Huh? this seems really out of place... I honestly don't think it matters much, it is your game after all. If it does bother you because you are hardcore lore dedicated player that knows everything about fallout, then sure, but you are a very rare case.
The weapon exists in Fallout 2, that makes it lore-friendly. The majority of Fallout lore is based on pre-1950s future concepts, not real life... If anything he should be thanked for all the work done for free making this mod and basing it on the real-life weapon instead of reproducing the same old video game/movie bs that's already been done over and over. The original Fallout version was a video game mockup, not based in reality as it was never mass-produced (as was already pointed out), why would you want yet another reproduction of a fake instead of the real deal? If you're looking for immersion, this is it. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot over stupid s#*! that doesn't matter... instead maybe spend some time learning how to fix it how you want instead of complaining, go make an immersive texture replacer and stfu. Also, the pump handguard might be adopted from an MP5 but the pump itself was already present, don't know where you get this 'fake' s#*! from. :rolls eyes: It's called Gunsmithing, and like any other craft, it's limitations are only what you make of them. Many historical guns were designed based on other earlier concepts and often times using parts from different weapons to make a new and more efficient design. You're literally complaining about the very aspect that makes weapons like this unique.
Even the original Fallout developers canned "Lore" when they added in real world weapons to their game cloning not only the looks but the actual names of weapons that were designed decades later in a completely different universe than the one they were creating.

So if you think the Fallout 2 version of the Pancor is Lore Friendly and this isn't - then I'd like to have some of what you are smoking. Don't bogart - pass it over please.
Everything changes over time so to do the weapons, an its been a long long long time since Fallout 2. So do u think it would be the exact same weapon still? i dont LOL
Anything that is stored in an otherwise undisturbed location from pre-war - you'd expect some of those things to look exactly like Fallout 2 style. Undisturbed, collectibles or even functional old world weapons. Why? Because virtually all the weapons in Fallout 1 and 2 were PRE-WAR anyway. Winchester City-Killer = Pancor Jackahmmer.
Consider the one completely undisturbed residence in Fallout 4 - the Cabot House. Now lets assume they were gun collectors in 2077 and earlier - they wouldn't be collecting the weapons everyone is currently using in 2077, they'd be collecting something like an original Pancor, an original Walther WA2000, etc. Basically, any original designed from the earliest days of the divergence or even pre-divergence.
Ex. Where did the Railroad get their hands on what is otherwise a Walther PPK that isn't "Falloutified"? Likely a DIA Cache - undisturbed for 210 years. I mean it's not like the design fits the Fallout universe.
I'm running this mod on Xbox One, and when I finally get a PC that can run Fallout 4, this will be the first mod I install. I've always had a soft spot for the Pancor Jackhammer, and this is easily the best version I've ever used in any game ever, and that includes mods and official game content. I cannot praise this mod highly enough. It's a beautiful model based on the toolroom prototype with the MP5SD handgrip, the sound is amazing, the damage and fire rate are phenomenal, it looks, sounds, and feels amazing. In every playthrough, it's in my favorites slots from the moment I get it until the end of the playthrough.
Had the same question. It doesn't, the shotgun is there. It's just that you have to take a few loops through the building (I did) to find the way to the locker room. It's accessible without TCL, it's just somewhat of a maze now.
The weapon has moved to the Atlantic Offices in the Glowing Sea, with the only clue being that the new owner lived in the "Everett Estates." However, the only location with the name, the West Everett Estates, does not seem to have any further clues. Can the tips be updated to help?
-Has unmarked quest with a small lore about it. -Has awesome sound that makes you feel you're holding a...JACKHAMMER -Rips through enemies and you feel the power, balanced for a mid to endgame weapon -Has a small bonus item (Jackhammer drum mag mine) -Unique gun that IS unique and doesn't appear anywhere else
"So eh...what is your best weapon mod?" "Welhm, dis 240p shotgun community resource you cfaft at the chemistfy stafion...48 demedge butw you haw skillws it wif be 96"
Super impressed with this, can't wait to try it out. I love that you followed the original weapon instead of the video game/movie fakes, it's nice to see the real deal fleshed out, and complete with the original designers mine concept! So effing cool...

This is by far the worst weapon mod I ever tried.
Best of luck improving it.
