Edit: I never played with def ui, VIS or any other sorting mods because I don't like the icons and/or tag names cluttering up everything. It appears this mod doesn't play nicely with the above mentioned mods. I currently have no plans to make a compatibility patch. Sorry about that.

TL;DR - No VIS, def ui, or other sorting mod support. Sorry. However, you can still use both but you will run into some issues (see below).

fo4edit is showing a bunch of conflicts that span pretty munch with every edit u have done essentially this mod is using the vanilla full name
      [example]
vanila name                        V I S's name                  your mods name
      robotrepairkit               (Devices) robotrepairkit      robotrepairkit
and i have also notice [keywords] getting over written from VIS... VIS uses the vanilla weights
this mod also over writes the name of the projectiles from Weapons of Fate only 3 conflicts there doesnt seem to matter though i havent shot those calibers still modding my game
this mod needs a compatibilty patch if u want the icons to exist in VIS and for some of the sorting that def inventory does. i think (untested)

Thanks for your comment. When I originally replied to the above comment I wasn't 100% sure with my answer but now it seems it is not fully compatible (some issues will arise as you have mentioned) without a patch. When I made this mod I simply used a weightless script using the vanilla record names and I'm guessing this is where you are seeing most of the conflicts with your sorting mods in fo4edit. Unfortunately, I don't use any sorting mods as I don't like them. This mod was mainly intended for myself and my playstyle and I don't have plans on making a compatibility patch for any sorting mods. If anyone wants to make a patch I will gladly add it to the list. Thank you.

Thanks for creating this! I've had some people on my mod ask about DLC items so I've been redirecting them here.

Hey no problem. I also wanted to thank you for your weightless full merge mod as I couldn't have played without it. My hoarding instinct knows no bounds!

Edit: This mod now modifies both vanilla and DLC items. I still have Weightless Junk and Other Items - DLC Patch in the old files category if anyone still needs them.

i'm wondering if this mod has conflicts with DEF_UI? i'm only using this without sorting mods and had fatal errors ( A.K.A crashes) and the crashlog mentionned certain objects ( Junk mostly)

Unfortunately, your mileage may vary while using DEF_UI and this mod (see the above sticky). I can't remember exactly what DEF_UI does behind the scenes but if it changes any vanilla record keywords to something else that I've made weightless it will conflict on some level. I would also check your mod list in fo4edit to be sure of any other mod conflicts that could be causing a game crash. Sorry about that.

Wishing for FOMOD but anyway great thanks, other similar mods are abandoned or lack DLC items edits - often both.

You're welcome. Sorry for the late reply but I don't have any plans for adding a FOMOD installer at this time.

Doesn't seem to affect any inventory weight at all.

Sounds like you haven't installed this mod properly. Make sure the .esp file is in your active load order in whatever mod manager you are using (usually shown with a checkmark). Also, if you have any inventory sorting mods they can cause conflicts with this mod and could be the source of the problem.

Hi do I have to start a new game for this to take effect? It doesn't seem to be working for me....

This should work immediately after installing it with a mod manager such as NMM. Ensure the .esp file you installed is activated in your load order (ie. Weightless Survival.esp).

I only want to remove weight from Junk. I want to keep weight on weapons, aids (lol), and apparel. I have another mod that modifies those items' weights, including weightless equipped apparel, more realistic weapon weight, ammo weight (I don't play survival I play very hard), I just want to remove weight from junk in the DLC.

Sorry for the late reply. Not sure if you are still looking for help but I'll be uploading a mod file for you shortly that will only edit DLC (misc. item) junk.

Edit: Weightless Survival version 2.0 essentially replaces Weightless DLC (Misc Item) Junk Only V1.1

What would keep this from working? I recently reloaded the game and used to use this mod, but n ow it seems to have no effect.

Check to make sure your mod manager has Weightless DLC.esp enabled. Not sure why it would suddenly decide to stop working.

Edit: The 2.0 version uses different .esp file names depending on which version you installed.
