Im no longer associated with development of this mod therefore I wont be able to respond to any questions. Not like I was that deep in it to begin with. I was jsut uploading and failed somehow on the console version. Anyway Im now focusing on MLP cards for Skyrim and maybe fallout so that will be my main focus now
I'm not sure how 'Radly feels about it, so I'm hesitant to just go add stuff without consulting...
...aaand I don't think I could face him again after a history of years long silence between us.
damn it's been like 5 years. I feel like dust- speaking of which, I'd have to re-learn stuff, as I haven't been doing anything for... well since this mod.
Still, I found myself to be completely useless as project leader, and worse friend... so if you'd want it done, I'd need someone with leadership I can work with.
This mod is quite okay. It's fun to have Applejack to run around in power armor, dressing Rarity in a sequin dress, and equipping Pinkie Pie with a ripper. Though I had to tweak it a bit to work without the DLC and suit for my gameplay needs.
Seems interesting so far, though I'm not sure if it's the unlimited companion mod I'm using but do any of the 6 mane companions indicate when they 'like' or 'dislike' certain events ? Piper and the normal followers still indicate their reactions though. So I do not know if or when I gain any of the 6's perks.
Also I've not checked yet but some people are still looking for Derpy. Investigating the files in CK indicate that she is located somewhere in Goodneighbour.
I noticed there was a additional character in the actor files for FlutterShy that being "FlutterBat", I don't know if it's actively used in the mod, or if there's a script or event that swaps her character to the bat form.
Far as I know I suspect the Derpy character is bugged or unfinished, rather than waiting to find them wandering around randomly, I altered the file to place them somewhere closer, but there's no actual dialog when I interact with them.
Well each of the 6 have their own set of perks according to the CK, as to how they're gained automatically after recruiting any of them I'm not sure, as I never got any sign via the Pip's Status menu after recruiting one to join me. Though I need to check if their cv_affinity values change throughout a play through.
As for the additional character. It's easily enough found in the CK actor list, titled as "fluttershy2flutterbat" using FlutterShy as it's main template. Aside of that there's no real difference aside of bat features. It may have been a wip optional feature to edit in that variation instead of the vanilla.
Another thing that I noticed while checking each character was that I think it was Applejack was intended to exit outside the house and staff the shop stand outside, but only action I've seen them do is clip into the stand itself with no prompt for shop interaction.
all you said is on point, the whole project is largely unfinished, "there were plans" but I am yet to be contacted for further development by the mod author, however, some people decided to take it upon themselves to create a "better version" so I suppose you could look forward to that, OR... seeing how you care enough to open CK... assist those people in mod creation.
(and don't give me "I don't know modding", neither did I know modding before I started... and in comparison to others, I still don't, but I'm doing what I can, and strive to learn more.)

But if you're the roleplaying type, hey, maybe you could do a story of some sort.
Use that one mod that allows you to have 20 companions. That works without fail, and you can have her as a companion. Problem solved!
I can't seem to recruit Fluttershy. No matter what, the persuasion attempt fails (and no, boosting Charisma doesn't seem to be working).
Is there a way (maybe via console commands) to recruit her?
