Finally I can take my bad habits of smoking into virtual game. Now I can just sit in my Red Rocket watching bottle of whiskey go on my lips followed by tasty lung dusting cigarette and repeat this cycle like I normally would do if drunk on whiskey. Heck, gonna load me some blues music radio channel and I'm all set for miserable life watching never changing re-run of "Stand by me" on TV while Piper is complaining from kitchen how we never go out anymore and driving me nuts so just do the dishes woman, and that stupid Dogmeat just licking his balls like he always do with no god damn brains useless mutt always on my feet trying to tackle me. What's that? Smoking 200 years old radioactive cigarettes can't be healthy? Do I look like I care. They already have Polonium-210 in them what ever there was nuclear catastrophe or not, I think we're beyond that line. Lord have mercy, I gonna need another pack of cigarettes. Where's the TV remote?
I love the collectable cards, they look neat, and collectnig them gives me the same odd satisfaction as the cards in Red Dead 2 :D I just wish the cigarettes didn't make me so thirsty. And others already reported this, but for some reason this mod freezes the mod manager, i have no clue what could cause this. A ripper sound replacer did the same thing a few months back.
Installed fine using Vortex instead of NMM! Unfortunately I'm not sure it works, perhaps its conflicting with my other smoke mods. I use Smokeable Cigars, Cigar and Cigarette Packs, alongside Nicotine Patch. The option to make the little portable ashtray doesn't appear in Chemstation>Utilities, and it doesn't appear in the Diamond City Surplus or other General Stores. All that said, I'll keep an eye out for this mod and if anyone finds solutions! I love collectibles, and hope it works on my game someday.
You're right, the side effect should just make you one level more thirsty as in from fine to parched. It's a little harsh of a side effect but it doesn't stop me from using it. It wouldn't be balanced if it didn't get you thirsty at all though, so I would rather have it how it is now than to make it have no side effect at all.
I smoke in real life. Smoking several in a row (chain smoking) can make you thirsty or a bit parched, but one doesn't. If you ever come back to working on this mod, i would suggest (if possible) to change it to .25 per smoke instead of 1 level each time.
This mod won't work for me at all. I am not saying it is bad but it just wont work for me. The surplus does not sell it when I try to do it. Please help
Amazing mod! I do have two questions for you. Would it be possible to rename Cigarette packs to make them more identifiable? Also is there any way to make it so smoking more than once quickly doesn't stack the buffs?
Hi, as I am a very passionate smoker this is great mod for me and as I tested so far, without any problems :) Want to ask u if u can increase smoking duration for at least 5,6 times so that it will more like irl? Or at least to tell me how I can do that with FO4 Edit if it is possible at all since I am to so good with CK :)
Hello This mod has 14 cigarettes in one-packet. The cigarrete package has 14 dedicated models to reflect the remaining number in the appearance. For example, it is easy to change this cigarette so that it can be used 20 times with CK, but preparing a model is a little more work. If you don't mind the strangeness of the appearance, you can easily change it. I am a little busy now, so I have no plans to update this mod for a while.... This mod is free resource except for the texture, so you can make a new cigarette mod based on this mod.:D
Ah, sorry, it seems that I havent't been clear, I wanted to ask that you change how long cigarette will be in mouth (if this is better description at all lol, since english isn't my native language), not how much times cigarette or package will be used :)
Your question is, "How do I extend the time to smoke?" sorry, I just understood! Please bare with my English!
Changing smoking times is very easy. You only need to change the script a bit. The task generally requires the Creation Kit. I will explain how to change it, but it may be difficult to understand in my poor English. I think that if you are used to CK's work you will understand sensibly, but if you are not used to CK, my words may be difficult to understand. If you find it difficult, it's because my English is hard, so, if you beggineer check the Creation kit manual. https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Magic_Effect
If you want to change mod's script, you first need a ScriptSource. If mod does not contain ScriptSource, you need to decode the encoded script named .pex. The Decode tool is also in Nexus, but this time it is not necessary. My Script Source is uploaded to this mod's Files as Optional files. Put "ZZZ_SmokeAutoremove.psc" included in this Source in Fallout4 / Data / Script / Source / user.
Then start the Creation kit and open my mod "cigarettecard.esp" as an ActiveFile. Open Magic Effect> zzz_FortifyAP_Cigarettes. (When searching with the Creation kit, searching for "zzz" will only show the records I added.) In the "Script" section, there is "ZZZ_SmokeAutoremove", which can be changed by right-clicking on it and selecting "edit source".
Correct the following line.
Utility.wait (60)
If you want 120 seconds for the cigarette to disappear
Utility.wait (120)
Put any number of seconds in "()".
After changing, if you do "Save", the changed Source will be encoded and become Script. It will be placed in Fallout4 / Data / Script. If you are using MO2, you will need to move this pex file to the MO2 directory.
You asked me how to change, so I wrote how to change it. I'm glad to hear that question. This is mod community. It is good for mod author to respond to requests, but it is fun for people using mods to be able to tweak mods to their liking, and I'm convinced that it is best. You seem to be accustomed to the work, so I think you can make it. However, please let me know if you think that my poor English can not be understood and it is difficult to adjust the mod. In that case, I upload the option file.
Hi, sorry, b/c of rl reasons I haven't been able to see this and to try to change script according to your instructions, but now i managed to find time to do this. Unfortunately I got some compiling errors :(

It may remove face/head gear automatically - I suggest adding gear to a hotkey to quickly reequip.
