i noticed the normal map has some issues. it has noticeably odd topology in certain places that seem to run along the mesh polygons/faces, giving the impression that the model is always badly smoothed or lacking it altogether. is there a way to fix this in photoshop or something because id be interested to try and fix it
How can I replace the sound of this mod to the default sound? Or any mod that replaces those vanilla sounds? I really don't think this sound fits the gun.
I love the weapon, but the sound is really off. And before anyone tells me to replace it myself, I don't know how, and the whole point of downloading a mod is to enjoy what's given, not fix it's issues manually, that's the mod author's job.
how about you don't behave like a prick, hermit? it's expected of a mod author to bring the best to the mods they publish. if you ask for a burger, do you expect to have a toenail in it?
no, you don't gannon. If you're going to make a mod, you need to make it the best you possibly can. does an artist making a painting just because he enjoys doing it half-ass his work? or does he try to make something that looks good and/or improve his craft? it does not matter if they "make the mods for free". if your mod has glaring issues (especially something important like messing up the graphics or sound of the gameplay) then it's your job as the modder to fix said issues, or deal with the fact that your mod has some serious issues that many people are having trouble ignoring, and accept that you're going to receive negative feedback. It's the mod author's "job" (as in it's their obligation if they want to be a good mod maker) to make a good product that's as bug free as possible, and doesn't f*#@ up something that's very important, like the sounds of the game.
how was thelonehermit being a prick lmao. he literally said bud. the one issue is right there: author "does because he wants to." kanjiirahlni, tbf, you have contradictions. you are very correct that improving the craft of modding includes fixing/improving your work, but the author isnt at any obligation to do any of that under the standards as demanded by someone else. go ahead with negative feedback, but the point i think should stand is: while you dont expect a toenail in a free burger, you can ask for a change, but you arent really entitled it.
edit: im not defending abandoning unfinished/borked mods btw, just that you shouldnt expect feedback answered in such a voluntary craft + the open niche is better for the creative sphere ultimately, bc someone else capable would make a better one down the line (or if youre savvier in your mod hunting, surely there are others lying around)
or, you could not be a dick and take some criticism about your mod, aro. multiple people have complained about the sound being an issue for them, it's not just one guy. nobody wants to have to download more things just to be able to use a mod (and enjoy it) that adds one weapon into the game.
"dumb looking fallout 4 Gatling laser"? what? the laser looks perfectly fine wdym? I just want a mod that adds the old laser in because I love BOTH designs.

I don't recall the ones in 3 and NV having any recoil.
