For the map to be in colour like the screenshots you need to add
[Pipboy] bPipboyDisableFX=1
to your Fallout4.ini file.
Be aware that adding this line will render all computer screen in-game in black and white, including pip menus. This is not a problem in a normal game as they are easily readable, but if you're using an ENB or Reshade with too high a white balance the glare could be terrible, so you'd either have to edit it or turn the ENB/Reshade off when using a computer. Also, the map appears faded when in Power Armor, nothing I can do.
Fallout4.ini file can be found in the documents folder, usually something like
Really nice job on this. Got a problem though. I cannot zoom out very much. As in - I cannot see Lexington and Sanctuary at the same time. That bad. Apart from that it works really well. Playing on 4K but I don't know if that should matter. I am also using DEF UI and Fall UI for sorting interface. But the vanila map was not affected by those.
Probably DEF UI. I'm running the map with Fall UI no problem. But, for some unknown reason, I can't run DEF UI at all, causes ctd when pressing ESC or TAB if I try.
.. after all the years fallout, all the map mods at nexus, I stumble across this mod ... for my taste the best map mod I've tried so far. I use the 4k with a fov of 80 Thanks a lot for this endorsed and votes
..not sure what I did but, added the line and pipboy map is just green ,..not multi as pics depict..any guess to what maybe is causing it?.... still using it though, as the map is incredibly detailed and the roads!!..ah yes the roads!!! ;)..
.mo2?? I have no idea what that is sorry.EDIT oh mod organizer 2...no.......why would that have any bearing on what I place in my ini file?. and what do you mean ini for profile is in drop down?... did you think I didnt know where my file was? even if I did use it...mo2 would NOT cause the mod to be just stock green instead of the multi colored depicted in the screen shots.. but ty anyways...so Daz you have any idea why its occurring?... I would like it to be colored as intended,,
The only thing i can think of is to run a search from the start menu in windows for fallout4.ini to make sure there's only one. If there is just one, open it and search for "bpip" without quotation marks to make sure you don't have a later line disabling it. Finally search Fallout4Prefs.ini for the same.
MO2 uses its own fallout4.Ini file, so any change that you make on the original Ini, in "my documents" wouldn't apply. That way you can leave the ini file in "my documents"with vanilla numbers while you can safely change the numbers in the MO2 ini file. I found that recently, when i was trying to change my camera view.

fPipboyScreenEmitIntensityPA=3.000
fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensityPA=1.0000
