Hello, this seems great, thank you! Two questions:
In the mod description's Compatibility and Issues section you say this:
"(2) Many existing respec solutions are not aware of the associated spells or global variables and just remove the perks. This leaves orphan effects hanging around which will cause issues in your game. Check the documentation ! Examples are AbPerkLoneWandererCarryWeight and ModScrapScalar_Rare."
Is the above quote only referring to other respec mods, or does your mod also have this issue?
My second question is: Say I had 4 Perception, then I found a magazine/bobblehead (still new to this game) in game that bumped my Perception up to 5. When I use this mod, will I get 4 points back or 5? I was thinking if it's 5, then I could technically use a point that should've only been for Perception, in another skill. Does this scenario make sense or should I clarify? Thanks again!
This naturally fixes everything that it knows to fix, it would seem rather bizzare to call out issues and not fix them:
(2) Removes all base game playable perks that are visible on the perk screen (not hidden or system or mag perks) along with any associated SPELLS, scripts and GLOBAL VARIABLE changes.
You get all points allocated to special atributes no matter how they were gained: start game, books, scripts, bobbleheads, magazines, ... it doesnt matter you get them all back to spend.
Thanks! I didn't know that the part you bolded in white included bobbleheads and stuff. I'm not educated on the behind the scenes technical terms for these things.
Edit: Woops this is my other account lol, I need to get rid of one of them I keep accidentally using both.
I am looking at the mod community now for a new modded playthrough I like this idea my issue is I am what I call a immersive player (some might call me a role player) and I would like a more immersive way of doing this. For example in The Outer Worlds they have a bench that causes bits to respec and every time the amount goes up or in Fallout 76 they introduced a way to respec your SPECIAL using an ingame device I would like to know if there are any like that or if you have plans of something like that.
BTW I am just asking if the answer to both is No that is ok :-)
Thats totally right, you get perk points that you can spend on agility.
If you used the bobblehead to bump agility over 10 then this is smart enough to detect that and give you a SPECIAL book to bump over 10 again, as the perk screen is limited to allocate 10 points. Described in the comprehensive description.
Having issues with this mod even though it worked fine on previous installs. No item in my inventory even on a clean save. I have minial other mods and no conflicts. Even uninstalled off my manager then manually installed and no dice. edit: nevermind just had to go into that damn mod menu. Never had to do that before, weird.
It can only "know" about base game and DLC perks by their existing base form references. If the references have not changed and it is only the perk effects, display names or values then no problem.
It does not know about new perk point driven perks added by mods or if base game perks have been modified to change their form references.
hello good sir thanks for a great mod again!! a question from me is, would it be possible to make this compatible with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29337 ? basically when using the mod it refunds the normal perks, but not the ones i marked on the picture (right area) https://imgur.com/JAm08iI it only refunds points spent on the left area. thanks!
Hi, no sorry that's not in the scope of an SKK mod. One of the core principles is that SKK mods are 100% compatible with the Fallout 4 base game and never rely on any other mods or external content to maximise compatibility and minimise conflict.
The right approach would be for that mod to offer an uninstall or "refund" facility itself.

So, what is the actual problem here ?

Does this mod also effect bobblehead perks? like repair bobblehead etc....
Ignore this please, its cleared, read a post below, thanks for the mod!It does not know about new perk point driven perks added by mods or if base game perks have been modified to change their form references.
