20/11/2022 Screen Archer Menu has been released and a SAM-compatible skeleton has been added.
A note on the v3.0 update: The revamped FOMOD should make installations even simpler than before but may have some mistakes or issues (such as wrong variants being installed). Please report them in case you find any.
Please check the 'Miscellaneous Files' section for compatibility files. Unless otherwise mentioned, these files are not 3BBB compatible.
Currently available files: - 3BBB-compatible files available for CaN Ponies. Full credit for this goes to Halotroop0/Boethiah. Partially untested. - Nanakochan Race files are now 3BBB Compatible. - Nanakochan Race (Type 1 and 2) [Thanks to LordSeralman] - Adjusted Neck and Head Proportions - shorter neck with vanilla head size (Type 1 and 2) - No Collapsed Butt (Check out the 'Rocket' Bottom files) - Adjusted Neck and Head Proportions - shorter neck with vanilla head size 'Sophie' Edition (Type 1 and 2) [Thanks to JackLively]
To use separate skeletons for male and female characters, it is highly recommended to useDiscrete Female Skeleton. The main FOMOD setups already have full support for DFS. If you are installing any other misc. files variants, simply put the 'skeleton.nif' into a subdirectory 'female' within the 'characterassets' folder.
Setting up Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE for use with GSS: To properly set up GSS, make sure to read its documentation thoroughly first. For Female player = select 'Vanilla' install (an option to install a male skeleton is at the end of the setup). For Male player = select 'GSS' install. If you have enabled a GSS plugin in your game, make sure both male and female skeletons are installed in their respective directories, otherwise, you will CTD! NOTE: There is a typo in the FOMOD installer (on the GSS Male page). It should say 'use this if you do not want males to be affected by the changes'. I will correct this in a future release. Spotted thanks to Ausarq23. Corrected as of v3.0. A note on compatibility patches: If your favorite skeleton mod is not available in the 'Miscellaneous Files' section, refer to the guide posted in the 'Article' section to create your own compatible version. Optionally, if you would like to share your version with everyone, you can send the file to me, and I will post them here, with full credits.
A note on shoes/outfits, etc. in the screenshots: Some of the outfits showcased here may be currently available (or in the future) on NukaLord's.
Hi there =) Question; Is legs for days safe to uninstall mid game? and if so, will it totally mess up my custom settler's legs? I am a male character and using zex with DFS. All my settlers are custom tweaked. My main concern, is that if I reinstall The knee fix without legs for days, I worry that my settlers calf's or ankles will get messed up and that I will have to tweak the area again. Also concerned if heels will get buried in ground after. Thanks
Minor issues with getting this working. The shin is clipping fully through the thigh, as opposed to the knee being connected while crouching. Unless my eyes are failing me, the other minor adjustments appear (on a before/after) to apply, so I'm confident it's loading - but the most important feature of the batch isn't and I'm unsure why. It's rather frustrating. If you've got any insights, lemme know.
To clarify in advance: DFS is active, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as installing different versions, and no custom races are being used. I am on the NG update but even as someone who doesn't mod I know that probably shouldn't affect this kind of file - especially when it's not outdated in the first place.
Your work is much appreciated and so is any response.
It sounds to me like DFS is not working in your game. Make sure the DFS plugin is at the very bottom of your load order, and also, make sure to check the DFS option when installing the skeleton.
... -and evidently, moving DFS to the very bottom of the load order indeed was all I needed. Works as advertised! Everything functioning as intended now. Thanks for both your work and your reply again - it's a godsend.
Hello again. I think I successfully installed this mod with DFS. It works well, in a way that the female companions now have the changed idle just as the image, and the male companions still have the vanilla one. However, I think in case of my female character (player character), especially in case of standing idle, seems to show still the vanilla one. Is this mod only for non-player character? Or maybe I use TWB 3BBB, so that's the reason why?
Oh really? even legs for days version? I meant the standing motion - posture of the legs, it was adjusted well in case for female companions, but not in case of player female character.
It does not change the posture in any noticeable way unless you are comparing before/after, like in my screenshots. The knee fix adjustment just bends the knees forward slightly. Legs for day also does not change the posture, it only makes the legs longer vs the rest of the body. This mod does not change any animation behaviours for NPCs or the player, they are the same as before, just with better knees.
Oh I got it. I thought this is the appropriate mod page to ask about this issue, but it seems I was on a different mod page(since this mod is not related to legs posture). Sorry, I applied some mods at once so I was confused. I will check again.
About the knees problem, it was solved perfectly. Thank you so much.
If you want to use the girly version of this mod exclusively for women, installing DFS additionally in mod organizer doesn't solve everything, but rather, you should put that girly legs for days file in Discrete Female Skeleton\Meshes\Actors\CharacterAces\female instead of just installing it and DFS independently in mod organizer, right?
I use MTM 3B OCBP - OCBPC Physics and Collision Preset - Beta-39195-3-0Beta-1611637094 and 3BBB For Ponies (CaN) - Custom Race Skeleton Fixes not working for me, why? I miss something?
I am not sure what you mean by 'not working' but if your character's body is not stretching, you are good to go on the skeleton/body front. As for your issue, the mostly likely case is that the MTM preset has some kind of race whitelist in it, you will need to either add CaN race manually to it or disable the whitelisting (i.e. allow everything). That is what I assume the issue is, but I have never used CaN. You should reach out to CaN users/author if you need more help.
For manual a install, pick the skeleton nif file you want from the archive, rename it to 'skeleton.nif' and place it in either of the following locations: for the base game: Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets\ if using DFS: Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets\female\

Make sure to install only ONE file.
