Hello everyone, I'm the author. I just want to say that I really appreciate all the feedback I got from you. (Even the negative ones) And I want to explain that I didn't mean to discredit Bethesda or anything. All I wanted to do was add the nexus logo. I am going to try to make a new version which has both logos but I don't have access to my computer this week (typing this from my phone) so it will have to wait untill Saturday or maybe Friday night. As for the idea to keep parts of the logo white, I don't know if that is possible with my limited skills but I will try. I am sorry if what I did here offends you but all you have to do is move along and download something else. Well that was it then, have a nice day!
Would you consider a version, where it's just the Fallout 4 logo? Like this one: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/Fallout_4_logo.png
I tried decompiling the SWF myself and quickly realized, I'm gonna break the whole Main Menu, without the proper tools, fonts, etc.
Wow, just....Wow. Talk about completely disrespectful. I love mods, and the community (Except when I see s*it like this.) But, this is just taking it way, way too far. You do know that idk maybe half of these mods, primarily the in-depth type of mods wouldn't even exist if BGS didn't supply the community with their own game editor, mods would be much more limited. Also, and this should go without being said, but Fallout 4 Is a game and has been since November 2015. Now, whether YOU liked everything about it or not, you simply cannot deny the fact that the game offered a lot of content (Hence why the "Framework" things I hear from people is complete BS). I personally (As well as most people i'd wager) start using mods more heavily when they've put 100's of hours into the game and are looking for something to change things up. Again, I love mods and the modding community, but seeing stuff like this genuinely makes me roll my eyes, the amount of entitlement is astonishing.
Nexus Mods is the only reason I still play this game. Bethesda gave us the base with many bugs. Had it not been for the talented people here at Nexus I would have tossed this game in the trash a long, long time ago. Besides what exactly does Nexus charge us to use this service? A subscription?
We have Nazi mods, mods that give women giant tits, or turn them into some sort of furry fantasy and slutty outfits for days. And that's all fine and dandy. But someone makes a mod that changes Bethesda to Nexus and a you get sand in their vagina over it ? You call it disrespectful and type out a temper tantrum of stuff that doesn't even apply to this mod. Get the stick out of your butt and get over yourself.
It's not disrespectful to the game, the community, Bethesda or whatever other group you're offended and triggered for. It's a funny little tongue and cheek mod and that's it. And I for one salute the mod author for making it.
Actually, I'm with tymann23 on this one. Sure, I have tons of mods and I appreciate what the modding community has provided (more than half for free, might I add), but removing the Bethesda logo "Because who is really making the game here?" is definitely taking it too far. Did everyone suddenly forget that the mods wouldn't exist without Bethesda making the game in the first place? I mean, really, I think its modders that need to "Get the stick out of [their butts] and get over [themselves]". First make a fully complete triple-A game (read: not a mod) from scratch with ALL the features that everyone could ever ask for and with NO bugs within five to seven years. See if you succeed and then we'll talk.
Oh and when I say full complete triple-A game, I mean that in the purest sense. None of this "indie" crap. Must have no bugs and it must be the most perfect game ever like everyone on this planet just literally pays for your game. Succeed in that, then we'll talk.
@HentaiGnome "indie crap", eh? You sound like a lovely and totally rational person, I mean the guy replaced one image file and that is "taking it too far".
Maybe, just MAYBE a tad bit of introspection is in order, no?
@HentaiGnome I love how a simple logo change is "taking it too far" like the mod author did something truly horrible. Better call Geraldo Rivera and get an action news team here ASAP because a mod author is sarcastic. Oh noes !
lel. bs. If it wasn't for mods i wouldn't play skyrim or fallout 4.. Played 2 hours of vanilla fallout 4 on release and hated everything from the animations to the aesthetics. Crap. Benched the game until the modding community got more developed. Sure bgs released the ck and w/e but only for people to fix their mistakes and make their game playable, In turn to make themselves more money on a flawed game. Compared to other modern games, BGS's games USP is that they are modifiable IMO.
You're taking it wayyy too seriously, all they did was change the logo mate. Besides, the vast majority of players probably would've dropped this game a while ago had it not been for modders.
Were it not for mods, there is NO WAY I'd be interested in playing any Bethesda games. While I consider Bethesda's Fallout games to be MUCH better fleshed out than Oblivion and Skyrim (yes, I'm aware this tends to be a minority opinion...), I still would not play FO3 or FO4 without mods... Just for starters, the community repairs countless bugs (many of them serious) that the devs couldn't be bothered to fix... that alone merits this particular creation. Then there are the mods that simply make the games so much better; in the case of FO4, an example would be all the mods that vastly improve the poorly implemented settlement and building aspects of the game. In essence, Bethesda often puts out a half-baked product, knowing full well that the modders will pick up the slack.... all free of charge.
Seeing your blind fanboyism genuinely makes me roll my eyes; the amount of delusion is astonishing.

Tried very hard to resist the urge to necro a nearly 4-year-old thread, but couldn't help myself...
Is it "disrespectful"? Maybe. Probably. But you know what else is? Repeatedly releasing unfinished games with half-ass optimization (probably less than half on Day 1) that turn out to be buggy, broken nightmares on release, leaving them unplayable for weeks for some while they wait for sufficient patching, and then ultimately shrugging and leaving it to modders to patch, fix, and essentially finish the game once they take weeks or months to release enough patches to make sure the game is functional all around.
I also took this more as a joke, considering that mods are the only reason that any Bethesda game remains relevant beyond a couple years, pointing out how extensively some people mod their game. From the mod description page: "I can't be the only one that pretty much has more modded files than actual Bethesda assets, right?"
Either way...I could totally see kindly requesting a version with both logos. Or just rolling your eyes and moving on. But a condescending rebuke of the mod author? JFC, get over yourself and take a chill pill my dude.
Companies pay for surveys to learn opinions of consumers so I'm thinking Bethesda as a company should be "grown up" enough to not need random Joe to defend them. To legally use this site we also need legal copies of the game meaning we the consumers paid Bethesda anyway, so we don't need to bow to them they need the consumers collectively not the other way around.

We are all entitled to our own opinions.

This is f***ing true on a whole other level.
