TLDR: Drop my .ini files to the Fallout 4 folder in Documents, and drop my bat file to the Fallout 4 install folder.
Also this configs assume that you play in 1920x1080 resolution and English language. If this is not the case then edit the following fields:
In Fallout4Prefs.ini
[Display]
sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti" (Change the text in the quotation marks to your GPU type e.g. "NVIDIA GeForce 1070"
iSize H=1080 (set this to your resolution height) iSize W=1920 (set this to your resolution width)
In Fallout4.ini:
[Archive] SResourceArchiveList=Fallout4 - Voices.ba2 (change this to the voice archive containing your country code, SResourceArchiveList=Fallout4 - Voices_fr.ba2 for French for example)
Edit: Disregard, I put a FPS limiter at 60FPS with Nvidia settings and turning on Vsync... looks like that's smoothed things out. I don't care too much on the FPS side since it's a single player game. Thank you again for everything! I'll hobble back to this post if I have any issues or things I can report to help others in the future, lol.
Does the Archive one listed here fix the voices playing faster than the character's mouths move? Your files have been a HUGE time saver for me on a Legion Y540 as I was about to tweak everything one setting at a time since the game was only playing on LOW. I've got the same CPU/GPU you mentioned and now the audio is the only thing bugging me to fix now. More noticeable when characters talk over each other lol. If you believe it may also be from something I need to reinstall file wise, I can delete the .ini and tweak files and re-place them in the folders. Thanks!
I know I've already commented once... but I wanted to comment again! I recently upgraded to an RTX 3060 and I was unable to launch the game in full screen (this was also the case with my old 1660S) and after a full day of Google searches and Youtube videos, I was on the verge of giving up and formatting my PC and then I remembered your 'mod'. I installed the appropriate files and... presto! I really feel like more people should know about this. You've literally saved me hours... if not days of headaches here... again! I just wish there was something similar for SSE which has been giving me fits since the AE 'gift' from Bethesda.
Hello, ive been loving this mod, but i also have one question, why does this change the color of my pipboy hud to white? is there any way to change it back to a certain color?
I just go FO4 last week and have no clue what I'm doing so forgive the possibly stupid question but how do I enable my game controller? As far as I understand, I shouldn't access the settings in game and I don't want to risk messing anything up by editing your files.
Thanks.
edit: never mind, I figured it out. Not sure how but it's working now...
Dude your config is a damn life saver! I've spent tons of hours tweaking my settings and yours did it in an instant. Do you think this would go well with an enb too?
I don't use an ENB for Fallout 4 as I don't think it is necessary, and haven't found a good enough preset. That being said my config should play nice with an ENB (if you have a 1660ti that is), although you might need to tone shadow distance further down and switch off AO (to use the ENB's AO). It also depends on how much FPS are you willing to sacrifice, if you are ok with 40-50 fps (especially in heavy areas) then you should be good to go with an ENB as is.

[General]
bGamepadEnable=0
bPipboyCompanionEnabled=0
iStoryManagerLoggingEvent=-1
bEnableStoryManagerLogging=0
uGridsToLoad=5
To enable the gamepad you just need to change bGamepadEnable to 1.
Also you need to enable Gamepad rumble as well under this section:
[Controls]
fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0175
fGamepadHeadingSensitivity=0.6667
bAlwaysRunByDefault=1
bInvertYValues=0
bGamePadRumble=0
Change bGamePadRumble to 1.
in fallout4prefs ini file, there is a menu about audiomenu
fAudioMasterVolume=0.0000
this will be default setting
fAudioMasterVolume=1.0000
change to this.
i can hear normal audio after this. hope this will help you
