Question, do you know if this removes the DoF-like screen edge blur that comes about as a result of Night Vision? Specifically the perk that gives night vision when sneaking. I like the brightness it brings but it also brings a fisheye lens effect which is incredibly distracting.

More specifically I'm playing Fallout London and the nights are pretty dark, so the brightness is quite welcome, but it also gives the same screen blur as low health or drugs etc., which is horrendous. I don't THINK the brightness effect is tied to the blur effect, but I'm not sure. Thanks!!

Late reply, but also a useless reply, as I simply cannot remember as it's been 9 years since I created the mod and 8 years since I played Fallout 4.  All I know is I specifically targeted depth of field.

If it's a fisheye effect, then it sounds like the field of view is increasing.. unless there's some weird filter being applied to the screen.  If it's something the Fallout London devs specifically added, then I'm doubtful my changes to the base game will affect it regardless.

Exactly what I was looking for and still working well after the April 25th update. Thank you for making this.

"Needless to say, you don't want underwater being crystal clear (unless you like your immersion breaking.. or want to cheat!)."

Or unless you have shitty eyesight to begin with (like me) and having dark murky water doesn't help at all.

I covered this in the poor description of this mod (see video for clear example) as to what happens if you do that.

Though, I haven't tested the game in 8 years, so I don't know if a patch ever fixed it.

Just installed this mod via Vortex, and it works as described...so far.

It's always something at the back of my mind..  "Does the mod I made x years ago still work?"

Thanks for confirming, and that it still works with Vortex.  One day I really need to get FO4 setup and working again.. and actually finish the game.

If you only care about removing the hideous aim-down-sight blur and know how to make the game auto execute txt files just put this into your auto execute file:

    setgs fIronSightsDOFStrength 0

Now you don't have to download and use the .esp!

I posted the technical details near the bottom of the description, but I have no idea if the names of things are similar to Skyrim as I've only ever attempted to mod Fallout 4.
