The concept is great, but the mod is almost unplayable.
As it stands, the enemies perpetually respawn....everywhere.....all around you and they do not stop. As soon as an area is cleared and you begin to move forward, more enemies instantly appear behind you, while at the same time more enemies are spawning in front of you. At all times you will be completely surrounded. It is too much.
I am no stranger to difficult playthroughs, in fact, my absolute favorite mod is Chaotic Sun. Techno Mutants, however, crosses the boundary of what the player can be reasonably expected to handle.
Let me provide an example: My character is lvl150, with an armor rating of ~650. I have a heavily modded weapon that I edited in FO4Edit to be even stronger - it is fully automatic, 291 damage per shot coupled with the Furious Legendary effect.
I had five companions, all with even better armor and weapons.
I was in this world space for 30 minutes and there were so many enemies that I burned through almost 4000 rounds of ammo. Yes, four thousand. In that time I barely made it 50ft inland from the beach head.
As I said, I like the concept but there is such a thing as over-doing it.
Been loving this mod for many months now. Can you please(pretty please) maybe do a Nuka World version? Far Harbor is alright. And i do understand the point a bit with how the island does work and have many locations. But Nuka World would be such a blast with how open and crazy it could be. Just an idea. :)
The Nucleus portion of the mod is glitchy AF, with platforms and walkways you can fall through all over the place. I'm not sure if this was done deliberately as a form of railroading the player into the deeper parts of the base to get the second-to-last book, but you know you've got a problem when it's almost impossible to complete without a jetpack or console commands.
As an addendum to my comment on the main mod, walking the familiar streets and paths of Far Harbor with these monstrosities suddenly inhabiting old locations has really wrung some more juice from the DLC. Not enough people do stuff with Far Harbor, and I'm glad to take another stroll with a big new problem.
Whoops, had set it on the page itself, but forgotten on the individual file's details.
Thanks for the reminder.
(Side note: I wish that was the default, since it's much less likely a file will drop requirements over time than remain the same. I might bring that up in a request about site features/adjustments)
Both your mods look amazing, and for a ton of reasons. I think you have ripped a hole in the fabric of how I played fallout 4 and I am going to fall right on in.
Looks like I will drop a lot of time into both your mods going forward.
It has been a very long time since I have bothered to go see Vergil. Looks like I will need to pay him a visit and spend a little time super mutant-hunting while I am down south.
Thank you! Both Mods ENDORSED!
To you, all those you Credited and your team. You-all are amazing!.
