Update! It's now available on both XBOX1 and PS4 through Bethesda.net!
Update! Version 2.1 released! Now with bracketed tags before the weapon mods names, so you know where they come from. This version also (accidentally) fixed a glitch where mods with the same name would have the same model when attaching them to the weapon and could switch randomly to another model after attaching.(For example, all "Long Barrel" mods from all weapons could have the appearance of the combat rifle one before attaching, and then the pipe rifle one after attaching).
Version 2.0 released! Make sure you have AWKCR installed. Before upgrading, make sure you disable any compatibility patches created by other mod authors. Your old crazily modded weapons will retain their mods, but they will no longer accept new mods that were not meant for them. Now, in order to add crazy mods for a weapon, you must build a Weaponsmith Workbench (from AWKCR) and create the AMAW version of the weapon there, under the "UNCONVENTIONAL WEAPONS" tab. Then you can use the Weapons Workbench to add all the crazy mods you love.
For anyone that is having the issue of AnyModAnyWeapon.esp plugin not being detected (by loot or whatever) an easy fix is as follows: the esp is actually there however its named as AnyModAnyWeapon2.esp, so (i use MO2) search it up in the plugins list > right click on it > "open origin in explorer" > you will see two files, right click on the "AnyModAnyWeapon2.esp" file and edit the name, just delete the "2" and nothing else, you dont even have to open the file itself. worked fine for me, so far no CTD and all depending mod have it registered now. hope it helps
I will not be able to use this since it requires AWKCR. You know what AWKCR does to my game on a clean install? It corrupts all my saves. It's a poorly optimized mod, and for me I avoid it like the plague ANY time it's mentioned for that reason. Simply installing AWKCR is dread and save death incarnate. My current saves will fail, new games will stall and then die out, and overall just corrupt anything and everything it sinks into.
AWKCR for me has always been something I avoid. Installing AWKCR for me is like giving me a penny to run into an WALL of flying misquitos with 20 undiscovered diseases per misquito. Not happenin', nope.
It's either non AWKCR or no download. Sorry, that's just my personal experience with AWKCR.
just an FYI : if you wanna use this mod with the legendary effects mod, you have to download the OLD version, because the updated 2.0 version is not what its looking for.
I have not tried, but from the look of it, it's my favorite of any mod. Too bad it seems to have been abandoned. Do we have something similar? I'm a little desperate, because I really love the idea.
I see a few people talking about DLC??? Im not sure if im stupid but I dont have access to DLC weapons for this mod. Just the base vanilla. Is...something broken or is it no longer available?
The mod author never added the DLC weapons to the list. Anyone asking for a no-DLC version is trolling the author (fruitlessly, this mod's pretty much abandonware)
Just a point to note for those using this The mod does not function the same as the glitch to force mods
With the mod any weapon you add modifications to it might take on the last attachment you uses this is most apparent in melee weapons
take a ripper and a revolutionary sword mod to it the ripper will not not have the rippers veryfast attack but the swords attack which is much slower
The glitch way makes it so the ripper is still a ripper just with the mod of the other weapon making it able to stun lock enemies or in vats attack around 50 damage per cycle of its attack which could be around 250 from a super sledge modification
the glitch force mod which you name one weapon 1 the one you want to place the mod on to 2 press modify and scrap at the same time DON'T PRESS ANY OTHER KEYS/BUTTONS BUT DIRECTION KEYS you then select the mod you want from weapon 1s selection to add to the weapon named 2
