Can the stupid sprint animation be replaced with a more realistic one? no one sprints swinging the gun in the air holding it one handed irl. its a good way to catch a bullet doing that in real life on top of looking completely stupid.
So this is false. When your sprint short distances with a rifle you want it to point upwards, why? So you dont flag every single firendly around you. To do that you tuck the the butt of the rifle between your arm and torso. The gun then is pointed in a safe direction, plus you have decent control over it. The sprint may look a bit weird, but its pretty realistic.
i have to agree with Faxton on this one. every trained gunman knows to *always* treat your weapon as if it could fire at any single moment, which is why you never want its line of fire to cross with a friendly or objective at any point in time. think in terms of having a laser sight on the end of your gun, if that even so much as points at something you dont want to shoot, thats a bad thing.
when crossing short to moderate distances, holding the barrel up in the air nullifies any chance that the line of fire crosses with a non hostile target. as an additional, if you trip, which... is actually a possibility when youre booking it to cover, having the gun at your middle may damage it when you fall atop it, but this method of control when sprinting would very likely keep it infront of you, whether your grip stays on the gun or not is up to the wielder, but i digress.
Glad to know you both have military training. My job is 0341 infantry mortarman. I see someone running like this in training I'll make sure to make them pay for it. In 6 years no one has ran like this. You just look retarded. And yes, while it would be good to keep you from jamming the muzzle into the ground its still best to keep the weapon pointed down and forward. If you ND while running with the gun pointed up god knows where that round is going as you fall. If you eat s#*! with it down then its more likely you will shoot the dirt.
@Kent1221 0311 here. So, the boots coming out of IMC in my unit say that they were taught this method of sprinting. However, our Plt Sgt here in the fleet for safety purposes on ranges has us keep our muzzle low, but he said in combat you'll do whatever you have to to sprint from one place to another as long as you aren't flagging your guys. I did some training with some SF guys in New Mexico that also find purpose in the high ready especially in MOUT environments, but also agree that for safety purposes to keep the muzzle down when say rushing on a range. So I'd say yeah for training purposes this isn't ok, but I suppose in actual combat anything goes.
YOU LIAR.(or a really dumb dogmatism fool?) I served in IDF fifteen years ago, fighting with the Hezbollah's terrorists in Lebanon in flesh. THE Tactical Action Served Tactics NOT On Contrary! Only you American Self boaster fonded with your bull-s*** drill manual! You are just like the mind-disabled officers in our amry who care no facts but the so called rules and only have little courages even with the most powerful weapens! IT IS COWARD like you make nothing succes and put soilders life in meanless situation! SHUT UP YOU MOUTH AND LEARN TO RESTPECT THE AUTHORITES!
Good God, man. Apparently the IDF didn't teach you to spell or construct coherent sentences. Chill. No one in this thread is running around getting soldiers killed. You have serious problems if one little thread in a mod comment section triggers you this bad.
@DominationPRO I did, I decompiled the mod and replaced the sprinting animation with the one from the RU556 mod. 100% better animation and way more realistic.
giannim98 I have asked some of the guys getting out of SOI, they all say that a ton has changed since I have went in and I'm having to retrain most of them since a lot of them have no clue about mortars. Not sure what the combat instructors are doing or if I just got a bad boot drop. I tend to train them to keep their barrels pointed forward while sprinting or running but yes in combat I don't care what they do to get from point A to B as fast as they can as long as they don't get hurt.
there is a thing called "trigger discipline" where you don't put your finger on the trigger until you see contacts. And for sprinting with rifle upwards, that just create more disadvantages to line up your gun and sight after you put it down. Infinity Wards think running like that is bada55 and and cool but in real life combat situation, not a single soldiers running like that. And i'm pretty sure running like that would get you charged in the British Army, don't know about US Armies and Marines.
Interesting. So im going to call you out on this. E-5, 3 deployments, 0311 rifleman, with a CAR, I have used this several times in my life while taking fire. Sure, is it the safest option? Absolutley not. But judging from your boot ass response im going to assume you have yet to actually deploy, or do any real work. Not that mortars actually do s#*! anyway, but i digress.
I was surprised by the gun. There are many options for customizing it. The scoop, ammunition, foregrip, barrel, etc. You can even put in 3 perks, which come in handy in battles, really useful. The weapon is quite strong, I think it will hold its own in the end game. In my opinion, it's better for close combat because it's nowhere near as accurate. Maybe I designed it very specifically to be most applicable to close encounters. The gun itself is very nice. Really detailed, very customizable. It has a lot of combinations. But it might be worth being careful with the colors, because as far as I know, the weapon cannot be repainted. So it's worth choosing parts that match in terms of color and style.Overall a great mod. It's new, so there might be bugs, but I think it's worth the download. I'm looking for such weapons because I want to make my game more synesthetic. Most of them do not fit into the world of FO4. But you can't do anything about it. If you like them, you have to swallow this. Endorsed.
for some reason when i holster it on my back its invisible (i have the 3rd person holster mod) any ideas? FYI its only this gun and i have.... too many gun addons.
Hello, Ive downloaded the mod and am having a blast with it. Although I have ran into one problem. Every time I craft 1 rifle from the crafting bench it starts to spawn hundreds if not thousands into my inventory. Ive tried scraping the excess rifles, ive tried to drop them onto the ground but they always keep respawning in my inventory. is there a possible patch or mod that I have missed?

looks strange, but very useful and practical

As far as games go, its not only unrealistic but a huge distraction and annoyance.
I did
And yet we have to train your sorry ass. I never liked working with the IDF or Afghan ANP.
