Can you fix the composting for mod horizon?
    - Horizon's compost is not available in your mod.

So i'll just toss this in, i'm using spring cleaning and i have like 290ish compost but i dont think its compatible with your mod at all, since no place to turn that compost into a compost heap, just curious if this was something you have considered yet or not or if i'm just over looking something or have a mod issue.

I believe this mod is older than Spring Cleaning. They must have made a new, separate entry for compost of their own. Just because the name is similar does not mean the game considers them the same thing, as they will have different internal IDs.

It should not be difficult to merge the two, however I am currently taking a break from FO4 and playing something else. I can make a merger patch once I get back into FO4.

Version 1.0 is out. It is just a small bug fix, but I decided to go live, since I haven't gotten any additional feedback regarding balance or additional feature suggestions ever since the re-balance.

I am still open to suggestions, though, so let me know what you'd like to see added/removed/changed!

Also made a new alternate file that changes the recipes according to NX Pro's tweaked vegetable weight values, to keep both mods consistent!

I had a go at the craftable Fertiliser add-on for the chem station, this is what I found.

    1. Recipe is too cheap, I have a compost heap, and you need a ton of stuff to get anything back. Plus, when you make a farm in your bases. You will have tons of stuff to add to a composter, making fertiliser a bit too easy to make.

Solution... A version that costs 30 items to make 1 fertiliser... I have tons of plants that are going to waste, 6 plants will not make a dent in them, 30 would, I reckon... be a good number.

    2. Make Fertiliser option is not in compost section, I had to hunt around to find the make Fertiliser option, eventually finding it in the utility section.

Solution... bunch all the composting options in one area, or add another MAKE FERTILISER option into the COMPOSTER section...

Great mod, by the way. CRAFTABLE FERTILISER and the CRAFTABLE AMMO mod go great together.

      Thanks for the feedback.

Balancing of recipes will be done in the future, possibly even by making different versions with different balancing options. I am also considering making different vegetables require different amounts per unit of compost heap, based on weight, probably.

I might also add Chemist perk requirements for better recipes.

As for the fertilizer recipe location, I wrote in the description of the mod that it is under the Utility tab. There is also a screenshot showing it. I felt putting it under the compost heap category would make it too cluttered, as it already has about a couple dozen recipes in there. Although I do agree it seems more intuitive to find at first, I believe people would ask it to be moved afterwards.

Making a different category for it could be a solution if more people have trouble finding it, but I'd rather not clutter the chemistry station with too many new categories, either.

I like this a lot, actually. But I also got some nip tucks; would you consider changing 3:1 ratio (for certain crops, of course), 1 exp gain, and increase Cloth cost to 3? This, of course, is coming from a balance-oriented player so do as you like.

    Great mod, nonetheless.

The exp gain is hard coded, I didn't choose the values myself. I am not entirely sure what the game bases this on and if there is any value I can change to alter it, but I will fiddle around with it a bit to find out.

Making compost was actually not intended to give exp at all, since compost is meant to be junk you get from scrapping vegetables/fruits/flowers, same as you get steel/wood/etc. from scrapping other items, but there doesn't seem to be a way to make them scrappable with FO4Edit.

Thank you for your feedback, though. I might make different versions with different balancing for recipes.

Pro tip: In the vanilla game, brahmin will produce fertilizer at your settlements.

The amount is extremely low, though. And the production cycle too long. Even with 30 settlements, you'll be looking at a couple dozen fertilizer units (not bags) every ~20 minutes of gameplay. Sleeping/waiting won't help speed it up, either.
