so i'm looking for a fix that prevents the city upgrades, the mod already comes with some of these options but i recently found out the mod had a hidden upgrade feature that involves and auto upgrades without your say regardless what settings you turned off when you add more people into a settlement location, for some reason by default with no option to stop the city will upgrade when you add more people to any settlement location and for some reason this causes long save issues and massive CTD issues in all effected cities and the only way of reversing this issue is to use the workshop to dismantle the settlement which destroys every building in the location and erases everything that was built up in said location.
i only run into these issues when the mod does the city upgrades, before that the game runs super stable without issues such as i have listed.
anyway with this all said i do still enjoy some of what this mod has to offer, it just leaves little to no room for stopping these automatic updates for when you add any NPC's to the location, now i wish i could say the real cause of what these updates do to the cities, but i'm not an expert in that, all i do know is when these updates take place there is next to nothing you can do to stop them from updating because it's a feature you can not turn off because there is no option to do so.
i have also turned off multiple settings in both mods in sim settlements i turn off all upgrades and i turn down the mod to the lowest performance demanding settings i turn off lots of other functions as well, then i go into the workshop mod and turn off some of it's own scripted functionality's and it just never seems to be enough, the conquer mod also comes with some settings to turn off, but again these settings are disregarded once you add more NPC's to any given city location.
i have turned down the threads to only using 1 and the multi threaded option is off completely, and on and on, nothing helps or stops the upgrades which cause all of these issues, so the longer i play the more i run into these issues with the mod, which means i never finish the mod because it's simply too unstable when the upgrades hit.
so from what i understand after reading your description your mod basically this mod eliminates the settlement location created by SS Conqueror, but allows a way to rebuild the city from a separate settlement tool so it doesn't use sim settlements anymore after you rebuild the city.
well if this is the case, is it possible to change the scripts that sim settlements uses from the beginning to only run these blueprints, meaning that whole world settlement build option that takes place for roughly 30 minutes as you play the prologue of the game before you reach the post apocalyptic commonwealth, instead of having to do each settlement manually with your holo tape, would it be possible to use that same build concept of this mod and the transfer blue prints mod? and to also stop sim settlements from doing the stupid broken auto upgrades?
I would adore the option to spend extra resources to install a top-level plot of whatever sort, kind of like Throw Money at SS but cutting to the chase, then center-on-cell to an interior like the Museum of Freedom and come back to the completed and built set, avoiding those crashes.
This certainly looks interesting but I have a question. Does this work for any city plan that you have available or is it just the ones that come with the base mod?
