In case of conflicts or if you want to remove a location from Hunkered Down or Hunkered Down Settlements, here is a very simple tutorial on how to do it with Foedit.

So if you want a version without Drumlin Diner or any other location check it out.

Ok, have a bit of an issue with this here bed. I can't sleep or do anything with it and if I wanted to sleep here, I have to point at the bed beneath that one to do so. Which is annoying when that static bed take up most of the surface area. This is also the same with any other location touch by this mod.

Also, I check the requirement, there shouldn't be any other required mods other than the base and DLC, so where does the custom bed comes from and why can't I used them here if there isn't any other dependencies?

It looks like the main file is on Bethesda.net for PC, but the Settlements Addon isn't even though it is for consoles. Could you upload that, if only for PC Game Pass users who can't download mods from Nexus?

Can anyone explain what the "Hunkered Down - Settlements" optional file does?

It does the same for settlements as for the rest of the Commonwealth: adds objects like heaters, beds, boarded-up windows, and roof patches to make the listed already lived-in settlements more believable, enhancing their atmosphere without breaking precombines. Highly compatible. The video showcases locations.

This s#*! is what I live for in the FO4 modding community. You can keep your anime presets and your Call of Duty weapons; toss those endless waves of slooty clothes, 4K graphical overhauls and HUD alterations in the bin, because having new things and new changes to explore in the overworld is what really keeps this game fresh and exciting.

Have you considered lending your talent to large-scale mod teams? I wager you'd be an invaluable asset to the likes of SS2 and FO:Miami. Regardless, awesome mod my dude/dudette. Keep it up!

OP it's not cool to diss others for how the play & mod their game. You can toss that in the bin. Anyways I do like mods like this that balance out the modding scene & it is a wonderful addition to my load order.

OP it's not cool to diss others-
I'm gonna stop you right there, nobody was dissed. If you inferred that from my post, that's a "you" problem.

If that wasn't your intention then that's an "OP you need to work on your grammar" problem. That's enough now.

@JemusuDakuArashi Harkness clearly wasn't disrespecting people for playing the way they want. He does the same thing, as do everyone using mods. Being spoiled for choice is a good thing given people have discriminating tastes. Harkness simply expressed his preference for lore-friendly immersive content in that colorful way. I believe the real issue here is more *you* looking for things to offend as this gives *you* (and other likeminded people) an excuse to behave as the moral authority.

    Hello there Author.

Would like to ask if this mod will conflict with Commonwealth Wilderness Overhaul? That mod is a requirement for Wildlife Overhaul - Less Aggressive Creatures and Companions which adds more wildlife to the game.

    Thanks in advance.

Exceedingly unlikely. That mod almost exclusively touch on wilderness areas whereas this makes lived-in areas more believable.

These locations are really nicely done.  Some of then I can't tell if they are vanilla or modified.  Then, as another user puts it, I check for the heaters/stoves.  I'm pushing a huge number of modified locations in my LO to see what I can make work together.  I deleted Hunkered Down's two Drumlin Diner locations up front as I was already running Better Drumlin Diner.  Also, I was already running Hangman's Alley Optimized and a few other mods in that cell.  So I made sure to start with the No HA version of your mod.

The big surprise for me was that Easy City Downs worked fine.  It has BostonFPSfix, Wasteland Illumination, Tales from the Commonwealth Visual Fixes, Clean My Settlement and Hunkered down.... all working.

Well - the location search continues.

    100% Endorsed.

If I might ask, which files or sections did you remove/change so that all the Drumlin Diner changes were taken out? I'd like to use this and Better Drumlin Diner in my next playthrough but I've only really messed around with weapons when it comes to FO4Edit.

Load xEdit and then go to the Drumlin Diner mod.  Go to worldspace, Block -1.0 > Sub-Block -2,1.  Compare the listed locations, one of which is "Drumlin Diner", to Hunkered Down.  I forget which ones I deleted from Hunkered Down but here's what I have left:
      Spoiler:
      Show

Edit - I went back to the tutorial mentioned in the first post and it just happens to be for Drumlin Diner.  It appears I deleted "DrumlinDiner" and "POIJS19".

I didn't delete POIJS19. Leaving it but deleting DrumlinDiner seems to remove all Drumlin Diner changes for me.

Better Drumliln Diner has not affected precombines for a year or more now, so there is no need to edit the ESP.  I'm currently running:

      • Ceft Main
      • Hunkered Down - no Atom Cats Garage
      • Better Drumlin Diner
      • My patch for BDD and Hunkered down.
      • Open Lexington
      • Starlight Overhaul - Horror at the Prison Camp
      • Accessible Bridges

They all work thanks to MisterNumbers3k Starlight - Horror at the Prison Camp - Precombined and Navmeshed.

I'm not the mod author, but looking at this one and at the rebuild collection, I would guess simply not installing the settlement patch for this mod would be the way to go. This mod changes non-settlement locations, while the rebuild collection changes settlements.

Rebuild should be compatible with the optional Hunkered Down settlement module for the most part. Likely to be some minor graphical issues, but only if you repair specific parts of buildings that are touched by Hunkered Down (but why would you?). Hunkered Down's patchwork repairs are much more immersive than the perfect restorations in Rebuild, so I would recommend both.

This really is an amazing addition, imagine people actually changing the area they live in to be livable, clearly you do not work at Bethesda.

I can't believe Bethesda didn't take this into mind. Haven't even downloaded the mod and the screenshots alone could make me realize the comparison.

looks really cool tho, finally one less eyesore on fallout 4's lore
    1. I wonder if there is a chance that Bethesda will use some of the mods on Nexus in the next gen update?
