THE MARTINI HENRY ICI MK-EXPERIMENTAL:

This mod brings the iconic Martini Henry ICI lever action service rifle to the commonwealth
with scratch made models, textures, animations and sounds just for this mod.

For the time being this is a pre-release of the weapon. There's a chance it will be released again and finalised with more versions.
This may be happening as I am currently speaking to Wardaddy about merging his martini henry model which opens up a lot of avenues for where the weapon can be taken in terms of modifications and calibre conversions.

The Martini Henry, first used in 1871, is a breech loading single shot rifle that has seen extensive use across most continents and has upheld it's reputation for many years to come prior to it's conception. It's original .577/450 Martini–Henry round packs a real punch both down range and to the shoulder of the one shooting it, however it has been rechambered for the more common .308 round found in the commonwealth.

This unnamed and rather experimental mark of the rifle is top secret and never reached any theatre of battle until now.
Closing on the end of the first world war the British attempted to adapt the rifle for various battle occasions before it was made obsolete, these modifications include an extended barrel, MK-II suppressor and anti aircraft iron sights, this ensured the rifle was useful under any circumstances especially as it was so wide spread across the planet. Welcome the Martini Henry into your armoury as the one shot-long reload power house that it is.

EXTRA INFORMATION PLEASE READ:

Whilst not required I highly recommend using Manual Reload now Tactical Reload it's simple and rather self explanatory.
Whilst I have implemented my own version by enabling the gauss rifle's charged reload on this weapon I highly recommend using it for all purposes.
This means to say the Martini Henry has no automatic reload. Press R to reload... <3

This weapon includes my own version of See-Through-Scopes. Whilst not as clean and beautiful I have tried to create a 'seamless' version of STS that utilises BGEM's to their full potential with the Fresnel effect. This took a lot of testing but I'm happy with the result especially as it creates a fake refraction effect when zoomed out of the long scope and a smooth transition between scoped and non scoped animation and vice-versa.
If you questions just ask, if you figure out how to reverse engineer this I tip my hat to you. Enjoy... it's fiddly though.

As I included a picatinny rail for the scope mount I can look at adding far more sights down the line.

This weapon model was created nearly 2 years ago. I originally intended it to be implemented into Fallout New Vegas alongside Fallout 4 hence why you may notice lower poly detail on the 3D model, I painstakingly re-created the textures to improve the quality of the rifle where I could.

You may also question why it has anti aircraft sights... anyone who knows what a K bullet is may get the reference to it being used for... other things.

CONFLICTS:
None.?

WHERE / HOW TO GET IT:

Spoiler:
Show
Find it at the Peabody house/residents, next to Quincy with some modifications.
(coc BillysHouseExt)

A unique 50cal variant can be found at Bridgeway Trust.
(coc FensBank01)

Alternatively it is available in the debug range.
(coc debugrange)
Near the workbenches.

Or use console command 'help martini 4' followed by player.additem... to spawn the weapon and its modifications.

As this weapon is intended to be used for Fallout London and kicks quite a punch I haven't included levelled list implementation...
Yet?

UPDATES / TO-DO / FIXES LIST:

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING BUG REPORTS:

This is here mainly for my own convenience and might seem lengthy but please read this before posting bug reports or issues, I'm aware of various issues with the gun, none game breaking or making it unusable, more or less small issues. Bare in mind my time is limited at the moment.

Updates are optional and down the line, to-do's and fixes which will likely be done shortly with fixes as priority.
'Ignore' if possible, likely a Bethesda bug:

Spoiler:
Show
UPDATE - Improve the quality of my see through scopes or add support for the official.
UPDATE - Add the .577/450 Martini–Henry round as a new ammo type to the game.
UPDATE - Add more attachments and adaptability, perhaps bringing more sights and a greener police shotgun to the game.
UPDATE - Add wetness material changes.
UPDATE - Change sounds for saffron and gold variants to match with speed reload.

TO-DO - Fix smoothing/normals issue on screws from mesh combine.
FIX - Fix collision on world dummy model.
UPDATE - Add Level Lists?.
IGNORE - Mod XI name bug in weapon workbench, drop the weapon modifications from your inventory and pick them back up.
This happens when you pick up mods from containers and head to a workbench, do the above to fix.
IGNORE - This weapon is built for fov 80 80 and fov 90 80, if you use anything other than these then expect weirdness with the AA sights and long scope.
IGNORE - When unequipped the bullet in the chamber is unloaded, this is because of manual reload, enabling the charged gauss rifle mechanics.

ANIMATION ONLY:

TO-DO - Fix slight rotation offset with long scope and iron sights.
TO-DO - Add fully canted animation sets for improved and AA iron sights.
UPDATE - Think this is a Bethesda bug but reload interruption whilst crouched.
FIX - Better power armour and npc animations, expect weirdness with these animations until then.
Power Armour will use the hunting rifle animations in 3rd person.
This will be fixed when I have time to look at the power armour rig.

These will likely be included in future updates or as optional files, updates will be included in the Fallout London release.

USAGE:

As the sole creator of the art, being the models, textures and sounds of this weapon I DO NOT give permission for this to be shared or reuploaded anywhere online for any reason, be that modding site, or anything of the like. If this is found to have happened I will request it's removal. The only exception to this rule will be with the Fallout4London team and the release of the Fallout London Mod where it will be merged into the esm.

Please respect this request, you must consider how long this has been in the making and the sheer amount of time I have dedicated into it's creation.
If you absolutely must use it for something please... just contact me first through discord or my nexus profile.

FALLOUT LONDON:

This weapon model was initially and intentionally created for the Fallout London project and is/will be merged into it's esm on release. Please consider this if you wish to install Fallout London when it releases down the line. This mod will stay available as the standalone release for the Martini Henry.
