You can change it to any value you like with Fo4edit. I never had need for over 10k. If you dont want to use Fo4edit, i suggest using the console command player.modav carryweight 70000 Downside to the command is that you need to do this for every new save game.
Mod is sketchy on the latest FO4 version (NG). Worked mid-game, but didn't work when starting a new game. If that happens, just use Cheat Menu mod to add the infinite carry weight option. I didn't notice it in there before, otherwise I would have never downloaded this
I dont know if Beth did anything in the NG version with the player NPC entry as im still on Old gen. Yes, you can use the console to achieve the same result. I made this mod when i was doing a console-less play.
Sometimes in new games, it requires a change in strenght to register. Some buffout will do or the method mentioned be ItMeNey in the sticky.
This mod conflicts with True Damage - Criticals Patch. I copied over the carryweight record to the crits patch myself, don't know what happens if you just let the carryweight esp load after crits patch.
EDIT: my own fix seems to have maybe caused my game to crash so might not be that easy.
Ah yeah that would conflict indeed as the Criticals patch would load last. You could solve this if you copy my change into the patch and save it. Then, you can remove my mod as it will be redundant. I sadly have no esp version for this mod.
Not working for me, and I downgraded recently using the downgrader here on nexus. I haven't changed anything with the game since before the update happened and after. Not sure why it just randomly stopped working now. There are no conflicts with it in my mod list. Just reporting :)
it works absolutely fine with the new patch, no update is needed on your behalf! thanks for the mod.
for anyone having issues, for the mod to take effect, you need to alter your strength first (try drinking something) and then you'll see that your weight capacity updates to align with the mod.
Glad it is working for you, but it is not working for me either. I'm on the next gen patch, I've got the esl enabled in MO2, I have done the power armor enter/exit thing, and tried taking drugs like daytripper that alter strength.
While the carry weight value changes properly based on wearing armor or taking the drug, it does NOT change to reflect the values specified in the .esl (I used the 10000 variant)
Thanks for the mod, I hope I can find a way to get it working on my install! I miss it :)
