No plans to start releasing undecorated / unfurnished builds. It's a standard settlement so anything you don’t like can be moved or scrapped to your own tastes or needs.
Hii, I noticed that this settlement build has more power items than the generator itself therefore the already placed generator is not enough to provide enough power. I assume we have to build more?
Yes, I am sure I’ll get around to Sunshine Tidings at somepoint (I also quite like it as a location). Currently on a short building break but like run polls on YT to help pick the next build location, and will include it on the list of options when I post it in the new year .
The sign of a good settlement is that you wouldn't mind having to live there as a result of a nuclear apocalypse. That boxcar house with the sliding door is just *chef kiss*. Good work on this and all your others!
Blueprint imported nicely! I was a bit gung-ho with the scrapping and removed a tree that leaves a power connector floating...but I can fix that, LOL Only issues I noted during a walk around... 1. Water pump too close to wall for the animation (I just turned the pump to face West instead of South)... 2. Chem bench near the Workbench is backward facing, so animation puts character outside and clipping through wall (again, easy enough to fix by rotating in place). Power shows '5' which seems right as I could only see one Medium generator...but it's in the red...so I'll need to poke around and see if something is disconnected (should 5 power be enough? I may have a mod making something drain more power than your vanilla set-up)
Great to hear the settlement imported successfully, and also many thanks for your beautiful screenshots and feedback. Based on your comments I have released an updated version of the settlement so it’s now safe to scrap everything before importing.
The update includes the trees and chain-link fences, some additional power lines to hopefully fix the power issue, tweaked the placement of the objects as you suggested, and also fixed some floating Nuka Cola bottles that had always bugged me.
Many thanks for your continued support here and on YT! :)
Thanks for the update. (I figured out that, as suspected, the power issue I had wasn't down to connection problems or the install, it was the changes I have that make a water purifier require 5 rather than 2 power, so I just needed to pop down an auxiliary generator to 'fix' that.)
I'm having issues with the settlement power indicator becoming permanently red, meaning that there's something disconnected from the power grid. Also, when I imported I had to disable collision because some placed objects were being imported before furniture, falling through the ground. Any way you can help me with?
Sorry to hear you are having issues importing the blueprint, unfortunately not sure what could be causing the issues. I run the havoc physics disabler on the exported blueprint, so for you to get falling objects during import is certainly not normal.
Can really only recommend reading and working through the Stable Import Guide, with the first step I would take being to import the settlement with only Transfer Settlements and HUDFramework enabled, and if that fails test again but using a clean save.
Hope you manage to find and sort out whats causing the issue.
Thanks for wanting to try out my blueprint and sorry to hear you are having issues getting it to import. As I am sure you are aware blueprints are not mods, but files generated and used by the Transfer Settlement mod. As such I am only able to offer limited troubleshooting on importing errors, but a couple of things I would try:
Are you able to import any other settlement blueprints?
Disable any mods that add or alter settlement objects
Disable ALL mods expect Transfer Settlements and HUD Framework
If these steps do not help, I would also suggest giving the following guides a read:
Reading through the stable import guide the stuck items section suggests most errors are caused either by a mod or script overload:
“Until now every report on stuck items has been either a borked savegame or a mod treating a buildable item in a faulty manner.”
Finally if nothing is working I would suggest posting over on the Transfer Settlements page with an import log. I hope you are able to find a solution!
Wow, I am really torn here. I'm a Sim Settlements person at heart (though it took me forever to finally download it) and I have a favorite city plan for Oberland Station, but this build just checks all the boxes. Very creative, very lore friendly. And, as others have noted, doesn't require any other mods. I may have to just scrap the city plan and try this. Many thanks for all your work.
Too bad the layout doesn't really work because of the uneven terrain. Parts of the wall and buildings are partly buried because of it. Would have been nice to know that would happen before uploading to my game. Now I have to somehow "fix" a bunch of mistakes from it.
Sorry to hear you are having issues with the blueprint not importing correctly, I had tested it several times before uploading and never had any issues. Do you have any mods that alter the vanilla building pieces somehow, or the terrain at Oberland Station? Not sure what else to suggest.
I have no other mods loaded that should be affecting the terrain. At least one building, generator, and 2 or more wall sections have all been affected. Is there a mods that lowers the ground level on one side of the terrain? I can try and take a screenshot to show what's happening.
I also noticed there are power couplings that are floating in the air that don't belong with any building at all. It feels like the whole settlement shifted over too far on the hillside.
Have you used the 'Clean and Simple - Oberland StationStartup' mod or something similar? That mod does modify the terrain in the settlement and causes the same issue for me as shown in your screenshot

EDIT: Never mind, I got it fixed. Awesome work!

Other than that, awesome, and looks GREAT!

Message: error: settlement import seems to be stuck for at least 60 seconds enabling the item - #211 Chair [##074BB0]
also #219 - chair if I bypass does the same
no mods to oberland that affect settlement size, shape
general build limit yes, but only through the manager, no terrain changes
also tried scrapping everything vanilla prior to, didn't change outcome.
help?
