Hey you. Hope you're havin' a great day! I decided to get all my mods in order over here before Ian gets the new F4SE created but in the process I've encountered an old bug :black chrome. I pretty much have 0 mods installed so I'm a little at a loss. You have some ideas that could help and old friend? You are the textures master after all ...

Try my Cubemaps Fix loose Files Version. Under optional files. That could fix it.

Fixed it. Thanks. I didn't even see the cubemaps fix in your list. I hate this damned bug but it rears it's head every new install it seems. You are a life saver; or at least a saver from serious headaches... EDIT: BTW...your textures all work fine even with the new update...

I have 1-9 and the DLC textures and they all at present appear to working as intended. I know your work so it's easy to see the tell tale signs. You have little "signatures" in your textures and I can spot 'em. ...Of course it's not the realism level achieved in SF but, it's very nice.

Im a little late but yes you do, you download all 9 and then paste them into your Fallout 4 Data folder. It will have a little popup and click replace all files or whatever

      Nine?

I see fifteen (15) of them in the Main Files list... it really would be nice if that was first in the Description section. It takes just a few seconds to keep this kind of confusion at bay.

      For ex:
      1. Download all main files (then to use either copy/paste or use a mod manager)
      2. Download optional files as you need them.

So... is this what you did? Because I'd like to get past the crappy original HD (and that ugly black face that no patch ever got rid of)... and pick one of those hosted here that works. Some of these are really hefty in size, so it's nice to read people's experiences.

I've downloaded & installed every version here via MO2, yet my textures still look bad. I downloaded this mod a little while ago via vortex (diff save, NG patch) and remember it looking much better..? I also think I remember there being an option to choose which level of quality (1k, 2k, 4k) for each version, though I could be wrong.. I have no other texture mods aside from HP Weapons, Wet, BNS trees.

    What am I missing here?

I'm here searching the comments with a similar question.  I have NG and as far as I'm aware you have to have dummy .esp files to activate the archives in MO2, but I notice this one doesn't have any... so would MO2 ignore them?

Use for while and I can say that it's running just fine, no problem so far. The thing with this mod is that it's intended to be manually installed, not through MO2 so there's no .esp and you will have to create it urself if you want to do so.

So... What happens if i use this without the other mod for the sky textures?? Because that mod has 22 bugs and im not keen on that. Will i just have vanilla sky or purple or ctd? Thanks.

Also I guess I'm confused on the resolution. It says 1k - 8k but I don't see any options to choose different resolutions. Does the ba2 include all resolutions? Thank you.

it has varying texture resolutions depending on what texture is being changed, signs for example has a very high resolution while mountains has lower resolution

Maybe this has been answer somewhere in the forum. I installed this manually and thru vortex (at different times) but both ways still make chrome objects black like codsworth. Is there something I am missing? Note: I don't have any other texture mods installed either.

First, @luxor8071, it's a fantastic job and the only reason why I play Fallout 4 again.

Have a question though. I have 2080 RTX Ti and 4k display, playing Story Wealth. Should I:
    1. Use Fallout 4 HD Overhaul 2k, included with Story Wealth OR
    2. Use this mod,  Fallout 4 HD Overhaul
for the best quality? Performance is not a concern

    Thank you

I have a 2080 TI and have used the 4k version of this mod with no issues.

maybe this is a stupid question but should i download all the parts? because i'm confused, it says "Fallout4 - Textures1" and final version, then it says "Fallout4 - Textures2" and also final version and it keeps going like this until "Fallout4 - Textures9", my question is that, should i install only the latest version "Fallout4 - Textures9"? or should i install everything? i'm sorry but english is not my first language

The game data folder has 9 .ba2 files labeled Textures1 thru Textures9. This mod's files are complete replacements for those .ba2 files. You need all of them.

Maybe a really dumb question, but there wouldn't happen to be any place to download the files without a download rate limit, would there? I can't say I'm too psyched about spending the time downloading them at non-premium speeds :/
