Sure I can look into that. Right now I'm working on finishing my Futurama Richard Nixon Companion mod, and I was thinking after that I should add in something that makes X6-88 use stealthboys like normal coursers. I could definitely do your suggestion as well.
A similar effect could be obtained by giving him synth relay grenades in vanilla if I'm not mistaken, so you could always just do that.
Yeah I use it. Great mod. I could make a version of my mod that affects the courser option, but I don't know how much interest or usefulness there would be.

X6 vanilla is a complet noob, talking big mouth like he's a badass, meanwhile he die easily and does zero damage with his institute riffle toy for kids, even not upgraded with a single mod. Even Curie as robot is stronger. B wanted to make x6 equal to other comp and not overpowered i presume for game fight balance, in that case they shouldn't have made him a courser but just an institute agent or whatever. Look how the game praise the coursers as ultimate fighters and then look what B gives us.... this is noob work from amators,
sadly i use "female x6-88" mod, i doubt both mods will work together
Thank you for your response! I agree completely about vanilla X6-88; what caused me to make this mod was his abysmal performance in combat, which seemed to contradict his otherwise intimidating nature.
I'm working on a fix for Female X6-88 as well, could you tell me which version you use?
Are you still working on the patch? I've been using the version by tylerh91.
Sidenote: what about Courser Crusher and (probably irrelevant for a companion) Undying Coursers? I think you can add those abilities to X-6 via console commands, but they make Coursers way scarier.
Yes I'm working on the female X6-88 mod. I ran into some burnout before but I've got more free time again so I've been getting back into modding.Female X6-88 (lore friendly version) Patch is finished and has been posted!
Something to remember is that I don't put any permissions on my mods, so if anyone else wants to make a patch or change something you don't need to ask! Credit is nice but I won't make a big fuss.
I'll look into those other mods as well. Thing is Female X6-88 should be was more straightforward than the others.
Think you're right that undying Coursers is made irrelevant by X6-88's protected status, but alternatively you could always just give him/her/whatever those .44 guns along with some ammo if you'd like.
The other mod you mentioned is also geared more towards player vs. courser action. In the field testing I did for my mod X6-88 didn't die very much, especially after I gave him a better weapon, though like most companions he can overwhelmed by big groups because of stagger (I think in vanilla gen I/II synths are immune to stagger while Gen III/coursers aren't, so there's that). That BioWeapon is dope tho and I'm a total sucker for Institute cut content, so that's an easy download for my game. I'll have to see how that mod affects X6-88.
