Thanks, you can alternatively just use Cheat Terminal to give yourself United We Stand, or remove the requirement in xEdit. It's craftable under Grenades at a Chem station, I just put it there since it's easier to find for people with lots of stuff under Utility, and I didn't want to use benches from AWKCR or others as a requirement for a small personal-use mod..
I guess you resolved the ESL issue since the version I downloaded is an ESL, but I guess it was resolved by compacting the formIDs in FO4Edit.
EDIT: I still saw that FO4Edit also complained about this, but I could use the renumber function to fix it - although since that changes all the formIDs, it would not be a straight upgrade mid-game. I guess being just an item, the user would have to get the item again in-game then.
Maybe an idea to add a version without the badge, which opens up opportunities for recolouring?
Thanks for mentioning it, I just checked, and the archive I had up still had the old plugin, I was using a version I fixed in xEdit in my game folder but that one didn't get uploaded. I just fixed it, it should now be .esl but with the FormIDs compacted properly. Huge oversight on my part, and sorry if I broke anything on your end, but it should be safe to uninstall the old version, make a save without it, and load this version to craft a new one.
As for a blank version, maybe, but I don't even know if I still have the old .xcf file for it in GIMP, not even sure if I saved it after getting the .dds satisfactory for export. For recolors, you might like UCO, it has recolor options for vanilla headgear including the beret.
I read the comments first so I fixed mine before saving the game with it active. And I did realise it uses the vanilla mesh but I like your textures. I also scaled the mesh a bit up in Outfit studio to reduce hair clipping.
Sounds good. I personally just use EVB and Azar Hairstyles, so I imagine the clipping would be an issue with stuff like custom head proportions and KS Hairdos. Glad to hear you enjoy it!
The armor I have on display here is a mashup of layers, but you can recreate the look with: CROSS Cybernetics CROSS Strigidae (I use the tan Enclave skin here as the underarmor, the 2k textures are linked on that page) Militarized Minutemen for the vest I also used Legendary Crafting Framework to buff the suit, you'll need a patch @ https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41097
Not in the shots, but I mix this armor with helmet from https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/50936 I use the rebreather and the Mr. Handy eyepiece from Crimsonrider's accessories layered over it as well.
In my playthrough, it's an experimental cybernetic system Claire is having developed by the Institute, adapting Kellogg's former implants into external prosthetics that can be worn as armor.
I have an "all factions" post-game set up via Project Valkyrie, where the Institute was liberated and continues to operate and advance under Claire ,Nate, and Shaun, the Railroad is intact and functions as an intel division, the local BoS surrendered and assimilated after destruction of the Prydwen, and the Minutemen keep the peace day-to-day alongside remnants of the Enclave from America Rising, who are much less sus under General Ward's leadership, and face the threat of being overrun by synths if they continue FEV research.
I'm just reaching the point in this run where I feel comfortable unleashing some OP gear now that the war is over. My personal game balance makes this suit extremely useful, especially since I have SPECIAL uncapped past 10, and I modified the pieces to add 2 Strength per arm, as well as other buffs that make it feel like a hybrid power armor. I have boosts to speed and jump height, as well as elimination of fall damage, mostly done through Legendary Crafting Framework, so it's really fun to strap the pieces on and yeet across Fort Independence.
I feel like it's a prudent way to have your character at least be knowledgeable with firearms, and physically competent enough to run for miles at a time. I picked SWAT because it seems plausible that major US cities would have some deployment of Power Armor in them, especially during the violent few years leading up to 2077. Claire would have at least been trained in its operation well enough to use the T-45 in Concord.
Thanks. Not to sound too Mary Sue, but she's also an angry mom whose law career got severely cucked right after she got done paying off the student debt.
Nate's alive in my playthrough as well, he's very much a main character, although his backstory mostly remains canonical; I envision him as a former E-4 corporal/specialist in a combat engineer MOS, and his main career goal in life was to use his savings and benefits after discharge to become a commercial architect, which is how I shoehorn in their knack for settlement building and home improvement even at the early stages of the game.
I picked the last name Greene for Nate after the Continental Army general Nathanael Greene, who won several key battles around Massachusetts in the Revolution, notably around Quincy. I picked the maiden name Lafayette for Claire after French general Marquis de Lafayette, whose outside assistance was integral in America's formative battles.
I also saved Shaun via Project Valkyrie's option to use the Cabot serum. He resides above ground studying desk fans and the nature of man. Lorenzo was lowkey pissed, but *it's our son*.
I have an extended amount of personal lore in my own Fallout cinematic universe across the Bethesda Fallout games; on XBox I even had my New Vegas character Gwyneth Holmes in a crossover as the proprietor of Nuka-World, post-Raider massacre, as a custom follower in a custom-built park with her Securitron army. I also have my custom follower, Sage, a disgraced Agent-turned-Tourist from the Railroad who was entangled in a chaotic love triangle with Deacon and Des and left HQ, and joins up with Claire shortly after their introduction via High Rise.
I could go on for about 50 pages of this, but I'll probably just do a visual fanfic from the start one day if I ever need to do a fresh playthrough beyond playtesting. There's lots of non-canon stuff like America Rising, Tales From The Commonwealth, and the Thuggyverse mods, but I write my own canon and laugh maniacally at the purists while their world burns every time 76 butchers some snippet of established lore.
