    If you assign her to a shop for example the bar, she won't but instead go to anther shop like the weapon or armor. Same if you assign her for scavenge, she won't use the station you assigned her to but instead use a different station and rotate on using other station. I observed her and she kinda behave like the settler you assigned on guard post that rotates between 3 guard post.

    So unfortunate. After reading about how to install Fallout 4 mods, I decompressed the RecruitShellyTiller files and placed them both in my data folder and restarted Fallout 4. I was unable to get the mod to work. Shelly just says "I don't know you. Go away.". After looking and researching I found that another thread says that mods require going to the %localappdata% folder and modifying the plugins.txt file. I tried that but the content still wont change. I can't see anywhere in the mod or on this thread where to place the mod files or what .txt or .ini files to change or if there's hidden files that also have to be changed. I did see a reference to "load order" but it didn't mention a file name. I'm assuming that was the plugins.txt. I just don't have enough information to be able to successfully install this mod, so I just had to kill Shelly Tiller. Feel so sad.

      Generic dialogue lines are often caused by a conflicting mod that overwrites the recruitable NPC's record. You need to open your mods in FO4Edit to see if there's any conflict.

      I use the old Nexus Mod Manager and it works fine.
      Only one thing - when is the quest finished ? (it stays in my log) Wait some time then close it via console.

      EDIT:
      After finishing the Silver shroud questline all is ok.

    THANKS for this mod, it's ridiculous your only option is to kill her or let her get killed. Bethesda shame on you, for hinting the fact it's ok to kill a female because she is not attractive. And give her a not so nice personality so the player doesn't feel bad about killing her. LarannKiar your R0ck

    I thank you for this mod. I always tought Shelly subquest was unfinished, you had only the option to kill her or leave her among ghouls probably to be killed. You fix this in a great and "good" way, the mod is very well done, with cool dialogues, actions and voices. I really appreciated it.

    Hey, thanks a lot for your mods. I'm having a little issue with Shelly in particular. When I assign Shelly to travel to a settlement, she goes: "Oh, okay", and then neither does she travel there, nor does the quest end. Any idea why it might be happening?

      Seems to be a mod conflict. If you click on her in the console and type "SV" (short for Show Variables), you should be able to see the script "WorkshopNPCScript" listed. If you can't see it, you can either open your mods in FO4Edit to see which mod overwrites her record (as her record should contain this "settler script") or try placing this mod lower in your load order so that the game will load it after the conflicting mod. Giving the ESP version a try is also a possible option because ESP plugins are always loaded after ESL plugins regardless of load order (the engine is designed that way).

      I'm having the same issue, I did the console you suggested and I can see the "WorkshopNPCScript" listed.

      I'm also unable to recruit Emogene, she just says "uh sure" or something after trying to recruit her, so I think there's an issue with recruit these npcs in general.

      Sorry for the late reply.. unfortunately I don't know what could be the cause of this, especially if the WorkshopNPCScript is attached to her. Only for testing, disabling all mods except this one for the recruitment scene may eliminate most (not necessarily all) possibilites for a mod conflict but you can recruit her through the console with "CQF RecruitShelly Recruited". As for Emogene, "CQF RecruitEmogene RecruitEmogene" recruits her.

      Forgive my wild guess but as the potential issue remains unclarified I thought I'd mention it: I wonder if commenters are using UFO4P or an out of date version of it? Or an old version of the game? Or if LarannKiar's mods require/assume UFO4P? I dimly recall reading of an old game patch (1.6?) that introduced/changed settler recruitment scripting, and I see that UFO4P changelog history has several fix/tweak attempts around the WorkshopNPCScript - so it seems to be just one of the game's slightly twitchy functions.

      I test these mods both with/without mods and they're working for me of course :) so unfortunately I don't know.. The mechanism to recruit NPCs are in the vanilla game so no "tricks" are involved which could make these mod incompatible with UFO4P. I use the latest vanilla workshop scripts and game version (v1.10.163 from November 2019). The vanilla scripts are even in their unedited .ba2 archive.

      Took some time but I found the conflict!! -or at least I found one conflict. The conflicting mod is Essential Unique NPCs and Pets.

      So, iirc, on my first playthru I think I was able to recruit Shelly ok (esl version) but on my current playthru with the Essential Unique mod added (UFO4P version), I got what seems like a similar failure as D41V30N mentioned. I tried to recruit her and she just smiled when I said "join me" while I was in 1st-person, and I got no settlement option screen - and in fact without my jumping out to 3rd-person after she says "it's not safe here" I didn't get any further at all. If I approached in 3rd-person to begin with when I got to the point where I said "join me" she'd just sigh "oh, okay" and I'd get no further than that.

      Looking at both mods in FO4edit there is a definite conflict just for Shelly, and to do with scripts. Loading Recruit Shelly (esp version) after the Essential Unique mod I could recruit Shelly but only if I did it while in 3rd-person mode, not in 1st-person (note I play with "dialogue camera" disabled in the main game settings).

      Of course, D41V30N might be using some other mod whose script affects Shelly, but I wanted to report my findings.

    Hey man I got the almost same problem as sigmaceti21 have, after killed Kendra I didn't loot that contract because I like to keep my quest list clean with a wish keep Shelly alive so I just ignoring that one and of course Shelly didn't spawn at all without it, and when I go back to apartment I found the Kendra's body isn't there anymore thus I can't get the contract anymore and the Silver Shroud quest finished already and the "SetStage MS04 442" won't work after that. I think the script of Silver Shroud quest is not named as MS04.script absolutely but I don't know what it actually is, so I can't restart it at all.

      If you type 'E1D28.GetDisabled' in the console, what does it return? If it returns ' >> 1 ', then type 'E1D28.Enable' and 'CQF RecruitShelly Initialize'.

      Yes yes she is there now thank you, but she just answer " Yes? "  when I talk to her , the coversation can't start. I tried the ResetAI but doesn't work. Can I have some command just like the one you provide in Recruit Institute Scientists mod to "fake" an assign option window ? Or something ?

    I think I have a problem, so before this has work ok but today I was playing the Silver Shroud quest and kill kendra but did not found the contract note on her and also I did not get optional objective to kill Shelly and when I whent to her location she was not there so any idea what is the problem? also on the note I did unistall your Darla settler mod before all this (can't stand her)

      The mod doesn't affect the Silver Shroud quest in any way so I don't know how the assassination note did not get spawned on Kendra. Can be a vanilla bug or even another mod, I'm not sure. To advance the vanilla quest to the "picked up the note" stage, type "SetStage MS04 442". Stage 442 is when the vanilla quest enables Shelly. The recruitment quest initializes itself at this stage too.

      I don't know what is making this problem but I manage to get note but still quest did not show so I have finish the quest and disable the mod, I will enable it again and see if I will get her and also after disabling Darla mod I still have her in my settlament, can't do anything with here she just stand there also as for other mods I only have weapon mods install, all of you settlers mods and few mods that change things here and there but nothing that edits vanilla quests or change NPC or anything like that
