This update wasn't actually planned. But after spending hundreds of hours with Piper and my Nora (PrivateVersion) in the Wasteland, I just can't stand Piper's hairstyle anymore. As I didn't want to clip the cap, finding a new one wasn't so easy, but I found what I was looking for in the "MoreHairstyles-MoreBeards" mod. Of course, this mod is a requirement for the private version of Piper. I had to adapt the face to the new hairstyle and immediately tried to give Piper a cheekier and, above all, sexier look. Alongside Nora, Piper is my absolute favourite among my followers. I've had a lot of fun playing with the private version ever since and would like to make it available to the community here on my Piper page. In FOMOD 1.8 you will find my original, slightly revised Piper, the mature vanilla version and of course the private version. For all those who prefer the earlier versions, I leave the FOMOD 1.6 in the optional download area. To make my Piper look right in your game, I recommend the following mods (No Requirements!):
Thanks to everyone who supported this mod for the nice posts and constructive comments. I hope you continue to enjoy my Piper in the future.
All the best, LamaKreis :)
PS: Please ignore the note in the FOMOD for the Private Version that "Lots More Female Hairstyles" is a requirement. The required mod is "More Hairstyles-More Beards".
I have added a new version (Mature Vanilla). The skin age of Piper's face, the hair style and the hair colour correspond to the vanilla default in this version. I have adjusted the mask slightly. All files are now accessible via a FOMOD, just choose what you like.
I hope Piper (and of course the game) will continue to bring you much joy in the new year and thank everyone for supporting this mod.
Version 1 of Piper is actually a final one, but there were still a few little things that bothered me. I have fixed all of them in the last weeks (you can see one of them on the picture below).
Very important: if you want the replacer in your game to look exactly like on my screenshots, you have to install Cridowskin 4k Body Textures 2K Faces for CBBE (and Natural 2K Face Textures or Real HD Face Textures 2k). Any other texture will change the face and skin colour more or less. My own favourite version of Piper (which I also have in my game) is the Intense version, which I gave a blue eye colour with the update.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting this mod and hope that you will continue to enjoy the Replacer in the future.
Heya, just an update! Thought I'd start from scratch which fixed the neck/seams coloration issues, but now the face doesn't look like what it did before, using Cridowskin and taking great care to set everything up like in the description...
Hi, after reinstalling, is Piper the only one with the problem or are the others you wrote to me about still affected? Try reinstalling Piper and use THBrows (external site) if you haven't installed the mod yet and maybe the Looks menu compendium.
how do i remove the zipper line from the left side of her face its on each of the skins. also why are they permanent. uninstalling this does not remove the face textures.
I am also having this issue. Did you reinstall looksmenu and the compendium? Someone else suggested it and I wondered if anyone identified that as the fix.
thanks to share. But i dont know why you use that mod hair with 3 ESP's in and all your mod's are ESL.We have a choise of a many styles and color ....so
If I understand you correctly, you don't think it's good that the required mods (hair) come with esp's? I must confess that choosing a suitable hairstyle is very important to me, as it shapes the overall look. When I have finally found a suitable one, I also accept the necessary esp's. The selection of hairstyles in Fallout is just as large as in Skyrim, but unfortunately the quality is not the same. For example, I would like to use long hair for once, but clipping it through my shoulders or head (as with some other short hairstyles) spoils the fun. I opted for the external hair mod because it actually offers the highest quality.
I use Natural Face Textures 2K All in One the newest , its only for piper thought all others work fine i think. Im not sure about the load order im kinda noob for this :D
I ask because the Natural Faces 2K mod is known to make the game stutter. The remedy is to install the BSA version. I don't know if it's the cause in your case, but it would be worth a shot. As for the loading order, unfortunately I'm the wrong person to ask, as I've been leaving the sorting of plugins to the NMM and LOOT for four years and have never had any problems.
preset 1.5, how do I get that preset? The one with the brown hair. I've installed the core and the additional file with preset 1.8 in it, but how do I make it work? Tried uninstalling the core and just installing the old file, that didn't work either. Tried to overwrite the default from v1.8 with 1.5 but one is esp and the other is json, so that won't work.
Hi, a Looks Menu preset is always just a json file. You can download both presets (1.5 and 1.8) in the optional section. You don't have to unzip the file, you can simply install it with the Mod Manager. Then open the Looks menu, open the Presets tab and scroll through the files until you find the Piper presets. I have labeled each one with the version number. That's actually all there is to it.
Sorry, what's the looks menu? I have a mod installed called the looks menu, but looking at its description, it seems to be a passive mod that enables other mods, I dont think you can "open" it. Is this what you are referring to? Edit: Reading further, the looks menu mod only works at player character creation, not mid play through and not for NPCs... so I'm still totally lost.
Edit 2: I fold an old forum post about clicking on an NPC and using the ref ID with the command slm [refid] 1 to edit NPCs. Its worked, but I have a major neck seem. No idea which of the many mods working together is to blame for that, so no idea where to start or what to look for. Body is white and clean, face and neck is brown and dirty. Everything is cbbe compatible, so as far as I can tell, there should be no issue :( Why does it all have to be so stressful and complicated?
Edit 3: Looking at forums, its often down to the skin used. I checked the Cridowskin forum and there are a lot of people on there talking about neck seams. Are there any other skins I can use with this mod? Apparently if its a 2 k resolution head I can no longer use default skins.
Hoping this link works. It looks pretty horrid. Her skin is pale but the face and neck are sunburnt. https://postimg.cc/k2RBzG7Y
Believe me, we all had to learn the hard way. Only patience and research will help, but it's worth it. In this case, however, it's not that complicated. The Looks Menu is simply an extension of the character creation menu in the game. When you start a new game and create your character, it is active. That's what the presets are for, because you can click on a preset tab at the bottom bar and your preset folder opens, where Piper can also be found after installing my presets. The Looksmenu can also be opened during the game, either with the console command "ShowLooksmenu" or with the help of the mod "Cheat Terminal". To change Piper, you have to install the Replacer (Main file). Piper with brown vanilla hair can be found in the AIO version 1.6 (Optional section). Please remember that you need HiPoly Faces Redux for this. It is best to use Natural 2K Faces (BSA version) and Cridow Skin for the skin texture. Then there should be no more texture problems. Let Cridow Skin overwrite everything. I also recommend installing THBrows, as the mod replaces the vanilla brows with higher quality textures.
PS: You don't have to use 2K faces and can also run the mod with 1K textures. You can also use any other texture, but the face will look different, which doesn't necessarily have to be bad.
I don't know if any else has had this issue, but I installed your mod with all the requirements except "TH Brows" and it's not doing anything to my current playthrough. I loaded a different character save and works as intended. Idk if anyone has some clues or direction on how to fix this. The Prior Piper mod was "Piper Dun Wright" Specifically V1. Every time I load in It's that mod Instead of yours. I've already disabled it and even deleted it. I'm at a loss, any help is appreciated!
I only know this phenomenon with my Nora and Nora Spousse Compaanion. Once selected at the start of the game, it stays, even if you uninstall the mod. Apparently the game saves facegen data somewhere and uses it again and again. Unfortunately I can't tell you where and if they can be deleted. Just to test, I would start a new game with the new replacer, rush to Diamond City and see if the new Piper is there. By the way, I recommend using THBrows. You can also use the mod without esp and it replaces the vanilla brows with higher quality textures and additional eyebrows.
That's exactly it! To the T. Ended up discovering face ripper and used that to get your piper replacer into my current playthrough. Also, some mod that I already have, has THBrows included. Appreciate the info tho. Would've never thought of that.
Hi guys, sorry, sorry, I was wrong. I firmly assumed that the hairstyle came from the mod "Lots More Hairstyles...". In fact, it comes from the external mod "MoreHairstyles-MoreBeards". I have linked the mod in the requirements list. Sorry for the trouble, I hope the external download doesn't cause any problems. The two mods there are definitely the best quality hair mods for Fallout 4!
LKsPiperPrivate.esp has master named 'MoreHairstyles4Female.esp'. I think this is for the "Lots More Female Hairstyles mod, but the esp from that mod is names 'Lots More Female Hairstyles.esp'?
Hi, I encountered the same problem, too. I installed update 1,8 on MO2 to try Private. I also installed Lots More Female Hairstyles MOD.
MO2 check warns me that it cannot find MoreHairstyles4Female.esp for private. Lots More Female Hairstyles MOD contained only Lots More Female Hairstyles.esp.
Should I renamed Lots More Female Hairstyles.esp and re-installed ?
Big fan of your work in Skyrim LE SE, many downloads over the years. When we starting a LO for FO4, obviously looked to see if you had anything in this world, THANKS to the Nine! Very pleased to see that you do, and of course, as if you knew what I'd be looking for, here they ALL are. We've downloaded your Ladies, Cait, Piper, Curie, Nora, Heather, Magnolia, and the NPC's AIO, which ALL require the Cridowskin to have them look like your pics. I seriously need your help/direction, I need to choose one or both options. The Cridowskin mod download page has several choices for "basegame" and "unique player". I assume unique player refers to me the pc, which btw no doubt I'm using your Nora replacer for that. Would your other replacers for the above mentioned be considered part of the basegame, or because they are all (imo) "custom replacers" would they also be considered as "unique players" too? I also assume your replacers are strictly facial, not including any body meshes, so we should still need to download not just the facegen files but also the Cridowskin body files so the skin textures match from top to bottom, YES?? The body we have, the off-site Fusion Girl body, downloaded for Nora and the NPC characters should be fine, YES??? All of your other recommendations were easy and straightforward, just need clarification, what would you do???? THANK you again for ALL of your Ladies (& guys), you have an elite talent my friend.

To make my Piper look right in your game, I recommend the following mods (No Requirements!):
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-
Cridowskin (without tweaks for the face)
Natural 2K Face Textures or Real HD Face Textures 2k or the 1K option in the FOMOD of Cridowskin.
FCO - HD Eyes
EoW - Lashes
Large iris of eyes
TH Brows (https://www.trophihunter.com/fallout4-mods/thbrows)
Further recommendations can be found in the description.
