The preset uses a unique shader setup that utilizes the full potential of image space, tone mapping and the latest post FX to get the best possible visual experience out of the game. The imaging offers a high level of dynamics but without overdoing it. You'll get great images
right out of the box and still have the possibilities for almost limitless customization.

Follow step by step, it is not that complicated

1. Prepare your monitor for gaming

If you haven't already done so, you should check that your monitor is set up correctly. I generally recommend the following
settings for gaming: Gamma sRGB or 2.2, Color Temperature D65 / 6500 Kelvin.

2. Prepare your graphics driver

Set your Dinamic Range to Full, in the graphics card control panel:



AMD users

Set your Pixel Format to FULL RGB, in the graphics card control panel:




3. Prepare your game settings

For best quality use Fallout4Launcher or Fallout4ConfigTool and set your game to ULTRA settings with TAA and HBAO+.


4. Install the required mods

[OPTIONAL but recommended]

IMPORTANT: Please follow the loading order described in the FAQ!!!

TIP: If you want your game to look exactly like in the screenshots, also install the following recommended mods from the GRAPHICS and WATER section.


5. Install ENBseries

  • Download the latest ENBseries
  • Extract the files d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll from wrapper version folder to your [Fallout 4] folder.


6. Install ENB preset

  • Download the latest version of REACTOR - A FALLOUT4 ENB from files section of this Nexus page.
  • Extract the contents of the [MAIN] folder to your [Fallout 4] folder.


7. In game

  • Open NAC.X menu on your Pip-Boy.
  • Make sure that the build in Patch for ENB is disabled.
  • Disable the NOISE, VIGNETTE and Lens Distortion effects under CAMERA SETTINGS. Leave DEPTH OF FIELD at the default settings.
  • Disable Interiors Lighting Override.
  • Disable Fake interior darkening.

Before you update to a new version of this preset please uninstall the previous one!




  • Uninstall preset only: In your [Fallout 4] folder, delete: enbseries folder, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini.

  • Uninstall entire ENB: In your [Fallout 4] folder, delete: enbseries folder, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini. Also delete d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46e.dll

Attention! Some ENB presets use a different file structure and also place .fx and .ini files directly in the [Fallout 4] folder. When uninstalling, also look in this folder for files that start with enb... and delete them as well.
