About this mod

The player moves at more believable speeds, but also don't run like they've just eaten 12 burgers. Aim Down Sights (ADS) is completely slowed down to walking speed. Who can hit Radroaches while travelling at Mach 4?

"Why am I moving like a bullet train while ADS?" - Me, 2022

I've made some adjustments to most if not all player related movement speeds.

NPC's are left as is to prevent script lag from larger mods such as Sim Settlements, thanks to rumblbuny48 for informing me of this!

The format is as follows:

- Running with no weapons is pretty close to vanilla, I always felt it was actually a decent speed, I've decreased it by a small amount. If you want to increase your walking speed, then add this line to your fallout4custom.ini

[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=player.setav speedmult 110;

- Running forwards with weapons is a little slower than vanilla, side and backwards movement is slower as it would be.

- Sneaking is much slower than vanilla, makes it easier to remain undetected.

- ADS movement is slowed completely down to a walk for both running and walking speeds. This is for three reasons.

1: If you've ever tried to run while ADS in real life. You can imagine how ridiculous it would be, you'd have a hard time hitting your target/s.

2: Some players have mods which change the animations of ADS and movement while ADS, having this slow speed will stop those animations causing your
character to hold their weapons high above their shoulders, which of course looks unbelievable.

3. It slows down combat stopping you from jumping and zipping around like a 15 year old playing COD, personally, I found myself using cover WAY more, which was fun!

- Power armour is slightly slower in all regards, since that makes the most sense for armour weighing half a ton.

As above, NPC movement speeds are unchanged except their ADS, sneak and weapon movements. This is because after long playthroughs, any changes to NPC speeds can cause script lag on your game as they get to and from their locations at different times than the game is expecting, while not inherently bad and it won't cause CTD's or save corruption, this can cause the game to slow down over time.

I kept ADS and sneak because this won't cause the script lag, as NPC's don't sneak and ADS to their locations. Weapon movement is shared by the player & NPC's, but this should not cause issues.

All you need to do is download via your mod manager & activate, or just manually place the file into your Fallout 4/Data Folder!

Any requests for adjustments please let me know and I'll try to accommodate! This is my first ever mod, so please let me know if I've done anything wrong and how to solve it!

Thanks!
