I've been trying to download the 2.5 update for a while now but Nexus seems to still be serving the 2.0 version despite the files page being updated. Am I missing something or is there a problem with Nexus?
You're not missing anything, the main file hasn't gotten any updates since 2.0. I just changed it's version number to keep up with the rest of the files.
Everyone loves a good content mod, from the Capital Wasteland team to Degenerate Dak, we have a massive list of lore-friendly content that visually fits seamlessly into the game. Rarely, we get something like America Rising 2 which is seemingly polished to near seamless integration, however we rarely talk about how a lot of these content mods have a litany of patches, workarounds, and integration patches that glue them together and sometimes outright improve the original mod into a superior product.
You are one of those 'unsung' heroes like exoclyps, 4estGIMP, WhiskeyTangoFawkes, etc who have a massive library consisting of bringing abandonware back to life, intertwining mod ecosystems, even overhauling the main game and its quests with consistency tweaks and improvements. Thanks for doing what you do. I just discovered you today and you've already improved my latest load order a lot.
A much-needed fix! Too many times I would watch these poor rescued synths walk towards Bunker Hill with a targeting compass pip floating overhead, only to be chased across the 'Wealth and beaten to death in the basement by the settlement robots.
Yesterday I started the repeatable quest with "Lost Soul: MS Azalea" after a long vacation after the atomic annihilation of the institute, I was not yet in Far Harbor after I installed your mod. I would prefer that the random locations were limited to the commonwealth.
I first thought the synth would then probably run to Acadia once in Far Harbor but it ran onto the pier where my ship was anchored and went through an invisible door and disappeared.
Anyway, she was now wearing a Postman outfit (Female Outfit replacer by Lazman555) after I gave her the care package.
Before that they were really lost souls when I once followed a Synth that ran onto the broken bridge to the crater of the C.I.T. ruin and probably drowned in the water when she jumped into the river, or was removed from the game. Not a nice ending of supposedly liberated synths.
Basically, it's just a suggestive ending for the Synths, conveying to the player via character text that they're going to Bunker Hill and possibly ending up in Mercer-Safe House, although I've never encountered a Synth in Mercer-Safe House except for that unstable janitor.
Thank you so much!! I just finished with Minuteman+RR & just watched this happen to a synth I just gave the care package too & I was stunned. This is one of those mods that will make it into all of my playthroughs.
