I finally added the Knight Commander rank. However, it seems that in vanilla FO4 Knight Commanders appear mostly as "normal" soldiers without power armor, while Knight Commanders with power armor only appear as legendary enemies, so your chances of seeing one could be quite low.
The implementation is quite tricky, so any bugs or weird stuff please report it, thanks!! (also, now it modifies the T-60 armor entries adding a new template so it can properly apply the paint/insignia, so any mod that touches the T-60 armor entries [like modifying the damage resistance, weight, etc...] is incompatible, but making a patch is very easy).
I plan on adding the alt versions of paladins in the future.
Is this for Power Armor only? Does this work for Combat Armor? Im sick of seeing initiate Clark Knight Lucia and Paladin Brandis with the Wrong Decal on their Combat Armor. Im tired of Slag having a BoS Decal on his T-45 and Edward Decon show off his loyalty to The Institute in The Third Rail after Hancock just gave that speech. All this immersion breaking sucks.
Brotherhood Power Armor Without Rust retextures the T60LArmDecal_KnightCmdr_d.dds as well. I prefer theirs because it's less faded, but does your mod with the plugin fix it showing up on the appropriate NPCs when they wear power armor? Is that what this is mainly for?
I'm going to link this mod to Power to the people because this fixed my issue with the brother hood soldiers wearing only t-60 and midwestern THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU SAVED MY BROTHER HOOD FROM DYING CONSTANTLY
The only new "assets" used were the leveled npc entries, so if a mod manually edits a leveled npc entry of BoS PA soldiers it will be incompatible.
Leveled item lists are 100% unchanged tho.
Another think to keep in mind is that already spawned knights will have to be "re-generated" with console commands so they spawn with the new proper insignias
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just trying to figure out how Bordraw's mod was implemented, as it caused a host of problems, such as no insignias or symbols being generated on power armors, i.e BoS NPCs with plain rusty PA. In the vanilla game there are many NPCs called Star Paladin, but have the Knight BoS PA. Does this implementation of the original mod change the Knight BoS PA to a BoS Paladin PA - the latter being a totally different paint job with the orange colors on arms and inner PA - or is the change only to the rank insignia?
