About this mod:
A simple mod that extends the capabilities of the Robotics Expert perk.
It allows you to hack and control Robots remotely. You can control them from a holotape ("Robotics Expert - Smart Controller") or through an activate button ("Manage"). From the holotape, unlimited robots can be hacked and controlled at the same time.
Robots can be controlled individually (through an activate button "Manage", it's similar to the command mode interface), or by robot type (e.g., Shutdown Assaultrons, Toggle Command Mode for Sentry Bots), or you can control all of them simultaneously (e.g., enable Guard Me protocol for all Robots).
Optional Robot followers: to make them followers, you can either choose to turn on their Guard Me protocol or put them into Command Mode. (Other protocols don't make them followers). They fast travel and draw, holster their weapon when you do.
To dismiss them, you can either deactivate them or turn on their Guard Current Location protocol. Once you leave, they'll get reset.
"Guard Me" protocol: follows and guards the Player (like a follower). "Guard Current Location" protocol: the robot stays at its current location and maintains its position. Repair damaged Robots: if their Health <= 50% and they have a Robot Repair Kit in their inventory, you can send them a signal to use it ("Repair Damaged Unit(s)").
Notes: it does not require the Automatron DLC. However, if you don't have it, you can't repair your damaged Robots. To hack a Robot, it must be within 140 feet / 42 meters. (Once they're hacked, you can control them from anywhere). The "Robotics Expert - Smart Controller" can be crafted at any Chemistry Workbench. Robots Expert (Level 1) is required. Friendly Robots won't attack Settlers and other friendly NPCs.
Compatibility:
It is a standalone mod. It does not overwrite the Robotics Expert perk so it should be compatible with any other mod.
