After my first playthrough I scrapped the idea of lugging around a minigun. They were worth it. Bethesda, in my thinking, put the damage low because of the high fire rate, a cop out of an idea to 'level the playing field'. Real life don't work that way. That's why there are weapons that are go-to's all around the world. BTW, I'm probably still not going to lug this thing around, anyway. Too big and bulky. I real life they're a PITA to be the operator and you become the target of the hour once you open fire. Nah, not real and 'immersive(?)'. They belong on a frame in a vertibird and shouldn't be able to be handled unless IN power armor, which I also never use. That's another whole can of worms.
Yeah make the minigun and call it like "Worn down minigun" or "Rusted minigun," something like that. A useless unique gun but a unique gun is a unique gun
Skelletorian, I just want to thank you. You've given me an idea that I never actually thought about before. It's a brilliant solution to not break early game while making my miniguns not suck.
The name of the mod is the description! Nuff said. Haven't downloaded it yet tho cause internet moves like a snail. Can't wait to try it on my new playthrough.

We all know by now just what the bathysphere did to miniguns because of the one for that demo which became When Freedom Rings (Museum of Freedom).
They didn't have the decency or balls to just nerf that first way-too-early Minigun, they nerfed the whole weapon class.
