About this mod

I like Tumbajamba's Supermutant Power Armor. However, the mod description implicates that it is an Outfit Replacer. That is not true. So i made a mod that fixes that. Optional Bear Hat version available!

It is always a good idea to check mods for conflicts in FO4Edit.

The ESP plugins in this mod are flagged as an ESL and will not occupy 1 of your ESP slots.

Overview:

I really like Tumbajamba's Supermutant Power Armor. However, the mod description says "It will also change appearence of Strong, giving him a unique underarmor/outfit". Well, that is not true. That's why i made the Outfit Replacer myself. Instead of the armor being craftable solely, with this mod here Strong or random Supermutants are spawning with this armor by default.

You can disable or even delete the original mod's ESP plugins. Tumbajamba adds a workbench via plugin and another plugin that changes the recipe to work with that workbench. The basic plugin only adds "Armor Addons", "Armors" and recipes, but the recipes will not work without the custom workbench because workbench and category are empty until the additional plugin adds support for the modded workbench. I personally don't like that. The plugins in my mod here will reference the meshes directly, so there is no need for the original mod's clunky plugins. No, that doesn't mean i stole their assets. You will still need the original mod of course, but you can delete the plugins. You can keep the original plugins to make the pieces craftable at Tumbajambas workbench, but you don't need them.

"Strong" files and "Leveled Lists" files are separate from each other. You can let this armor spawn on random Supermutants without touching Strong or you can give Strong an unique armor without changing random Supermutants.

Strong:

With one of the "Strong" files installed, Strong's default outfit contains the following items:
- "Strong: Bracers"
- "Strong: Leg Armor"
- "Strong: Harness"
- "Strong: Outfit"
- "Strong: Helmet"   or   "Strong: Bear Hat"

There are 2 versions. The "Bear Hat" version requires my "Bear Hats for Supermutants" mod and replaces the Power Armor Helmet with Strong's unique Bear Hat from my mod. That's the only difference between the 2 main files.

I made a retexture of the base game X-01 armor pieces. Strong is wearing an armor with that unique color. It fits the dark color of his unique bear hat that comes with my bear hat mod. You can attach X-01 materials to Strongs armor. His unique dark color can be crafted again, so you will not lose it forever if you remove it. The armor uses the X-01 mod association keyword, so even modded X-01 paintjobs will work (as you can see in that one picture).

Leveled Lists:

The armor pieces that come with the Leveled Lists Addons will be unplayble. You have no use for hundreds of supermutant armor pieces and they would fill up the loot menu of supermutants you killed. In the base game, each piece of supermutant armor exists 2 times: 1 is playable and the other 1 is unplayable. Same goes for this mod here, but they are devided between a "Strong" and a "Leveled Lists" file.

Here are the options:
- Mix (all pieces will be added to the vanilla slots. That means that a mutant can have vanilla leg armor and a helmet from this mod here etc.)
- Mix & Bear Hats (same as above, but it is also a patch for my bear hats mod. Allows supermutants to spawn with vanilla headwear, with helmets from this mod here and with bear hats. Load after the bear hats mod.)
- Clones (all supermutants except suiciders will look the same and will be equipped with the underarmor and all 4 armor pieces from this mod.)
- Smooth (adds a new layer to supermutant leveled lists; Supermutants have a 1:8 chance of spawning with the complete collection of this mod here, including underarmor; the other supermutants will spawn randomly with vanilla pieces just like in the base game)

Protip: You can activate the "Mix" and the "Smooth" versions at the same time. That will add more variety by adding pieces randomly but will also add individual supermutants with the entire collection and a proper underarmor. Picture 7 shows how Supermutants will look like with this option. These 2 versions will not have a conflict with each other, because they modify different layers of the leveled lists entries of supermutant armor. Activating a "Mix" version and the "Clones" version would work, but it is pointless because the layer that the "Mix" version is changing will no longer be relevant.
