About this mod
Pre-War version of Sanctuary where you can build.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
Now you can! Using the Virtual Reality Workbench, you can recreate Sanctuary as it was before, as far as you remember at least. You don't quite seem to remember how your neighbour's houses looked from the inside...
- Separate worldspace with a walkable and buildable area of 10 cells.
- Regenerated precombines, previs, and LOD
- Recreated navmesh, with scraplinks for scrappable objects
- Most objects are scrappable, including the neighbour houses, trees, hedges, cars, lanterns, mailboxes, etc
- Using ScrapEverything, the player house can be scrapped as well. Everything inside it is scraplinked, so only the items remain.
- If the workshop is given a WorkshopID (can be done via the terminal next to the workbench), virtual settlers can be spawned.
- Workshop attacks can be triggered from the terminal, whenever you have given it a WorkshopID or not. To do so, built the vanilla attack markers (available from the CC workshop menu. They are within the base game, only hidden behind a location keyword recipe filter)
- The virtual settlers spawned will look like wastelanders. I tried to make a clean-clothed version, but, with clean pre-war clothes being gender-dependant, this turned out to be surprisingly difficult.
- All houses except the player house are just dummies, and cannot be entered. There are no enterable versions in the base game. Use a mod which adds buildable pre-war houses, if you want them to be useable.
- The road to Red Rocket (as well as the RR building itself, as far as it can be seen), are post-war. There are no pre-war meshes in the base game which I could have used. Pin it on the player character's bad memory.
Requires VR Framework. Shouldn't conflict with anything per se, however, it does place an invisible door into the Commonwealth worldspace. If that causes a conflict with another mod, this mod may lose the conflict.
