This mod uses all the underlying code supplied by Flyable Personal Vertibird (which is why it is a requirement) so if you have any other issues/questions, Please see the Stickied Posts on that mod for help.
Current Classic VB Issues: - F4SE V0.7.2 (FO4NG version) has a bug with Matswap calls so the landing gear will NOT retract until they fix that bug. - If you have the Warbird mod and want to use Vertibird armor on this Classic VB then Warbird Mod must be before it (game restriction).
Been using the mod for a while now. Was curious if it'd be possible for a patch making use of the America Rising 2 Enclave paint for this Vertibird. A recent mod came out where they managed to replace the Enclave's Vertibirds in the mod with a classic model and paint job. I'll paste it to this comment for reference.
America Rising 2 Classic Vertibird: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/91870
There is red striping and gray painted parts on the vertibirds, whereas the AR2 replacement have blacker colors with some orange in places. I have both at the oil rig in my game, and they look fine next to each other. but for uniformity reasons, i can see why they'd ask.
Ok, I am using the exact same textures provided by DawnofAmericaTeam in their Classic Vertibird Replacer mod and Vertibird Modding resources. The mod you linked to has modified the normals (_n.dds). I cannot use their assets, but you can.
If you want My mod to use their textures then you need to copy their :-
materials\AR2\Strider\Vehicles\VertibirdVB02\VB02MainBody.BGSM, VB02LandingGear.BGSM, and VB02Wing.BGSM to materials\Strider\Vehicles\VertibirdVB02\ (which is where my mod picks them up).
That will remap where my mod gets the textures to their ones.
You're response time was so fast.- I've been using nexus since the Elder Scrolls Oblivion came out, and I've never even had a mod author notice my comment before. I don't really post much. but I wanted to say I am very grateful for all of your hard work. I couldn't program a tv remote, and the ease of use mods you and others make have made the literal thousands of hours I've played Bethesda games (Steam says 2,230 Fallout 4 and 4,770 Skyrim) -you mod authors have made these games the joy I have in life, aside from my wife and kids. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Well, it has to be fun for us too - so it isn't as 'altruistic' as it seems. Also I am catching up on some outstanding bugs so more responsive than normal...
I'm using this in Fallout London, which for the most part it works great. However I don't there's Max Height data in the mod so the Verti flies through buildings. What or where would I need to edit in either CK or xEdit to fix that? Is it a simple setting or more involved?
It is more involved. You need to load everything FOLON into the Creation Kit (probably just select "LondonWorldSpace.esm" in the data list), In the top menu click on "World" then choose "Generate Max Height Data for world" then pick one of the London worlds and let it run. Once finished I would click save (and name your patch something like LondonMHDT.esp) - dont exit yet! just select another world and do it, save, repeat, untill you have done all the London worlds (i.e. DONT do any of the base fallout worlds - they have MHDT). Then exit and put your patch at the end of the load order. Note that if you let another mod override it it might replace the MHDT data for the WRLD record with blank again - which will cause the VB to fly through things again...
I am surprised noone has done this already and uploaded to the fallout London nexus section.
The only CTD I know of with this is if the VB is destroyed. Any other CTD is with game not handling rendering as you fly over areas with lots of NPC's etc.
Ah - it's a bug. All armor is restricted by race (you can't equip a cat with a dress). I forgot to add the enclave vertibird race to the allowed races for the armor. I will fix this. Thank you. I will move this to bugs.
Not sure what you mean. There is only one file - I have made v1.1 the main file now. Perhaps your mod manager got confused. I would uninstall and reinstall v1.1 again.
hey i was wondering if i could have permission to make patch for this for america rising 2. just wanna make a simple esp that changes the enclave vertibirds into... enclave vertibirds.
although it'll require the old version of it because everytime i use the latest version, the vertibirds show up invisible.
have you thought about doing another one for the big clunky fallout 2 version?
and as for the using enclave vertibird resources like you said i didn't know how to do all that so i just used the vertibird npc you made for this and it worked. and they don't respond to the call vertibird thing so.
like i said it only works with the old file though. new version makes em pop in with only wings.
Might I mention that the creator of Enclave Vertibird Resources actually has a fully animated and rigged version of the Fallout 2 Vertibird, so theoretically it should be possible if you ask him about it and he's willing to share it. Personally I'd love to see it, it's my favorite Vertibird design.
No idea sadly. You'll just have to message him through the nexusmods page or his ArtStation. https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/Strider5/about-me?gameId=1151 https://www.artstation.com/artwork/2qYJya
I am well aware of Strider5 and their resources as I use them, however the VB03 model has no animation, and no interior, so is useless. What they show on artstation is nothing to do with what they released on Nexus. I can only use models made for FO4.
Not an animated retraction (that is not included in the model I use) but the landing gear is removed when flying. Note: there is a bug with F4SE V0.7.2 (FO4NG version) that causes this not to work.
I've been using your mods for past afew years and I must say you made my fallout 4 experience much better first of all I should thank you for that. came here to report a known bug. I'm using the latest version of this and FPV (1.6.6a) and the landing gear is still bugged. it's always closed or always open doesn't matter if it landed or not. not a big issue I know just came here to inform you.
Is this FO4 Nextgen or Oldgen? What F4SE version? The landing gear is a material swap at the moment and that is broken in F4SE 0.7.2. Otherwise, what conditions is it wrongly up/down? Like is it takeoff, landing, unmanned, when it loads in (it has been out of site), etc?
Next gen update 2 with the latest f4se update. So i guess that's the problem. That's unfortunate, would like to use it. I guess i will get back to normal FPV then.
Ok now i get it. It isn't ur fault but it's causing other bugs as well. I have a mod which let me summon minutemen soldiers and when i use the vertibird to transport them with landing gears up while landing they jump down and get stuck under ground. This will prevent them from following me. That's the main reason why I'm getting back to the normal FPV. Lost alot of loyal soldiers today :(
Great mod though it rly looks great thank you for all the hard work i gave you kodus afew years ago so i just endorse this.
That sounds like another issue with FO4NG as all of that is base game animations. I don't touch any of that - FPV just says "exit" to the passengers. You will get the same trouble with FPV as this is just FPV with a different body. Animation issues with NPCs is nothing to do with my mod(s).

Currently the Armor can only be equipped on one or the other (whichever mod is lower in your Load Order).

To do what you want you need to use the actual Enclave Vertibird resources - this is what I used.

This other mod of mine is closer to what you want, as it is just a skin patch for existing Vertibirds.
