"OpenProcess failed: Access is denied."

[edit]  Fixed it.  For future reference, if you get this error, try running inject.exe as Administrator.

I'm just wondering if this also makes it so in the actual app when you're looking at the map the arrow moves with it?
I wish that the map also moved down itself so you don't suddenly end up just seeing the arrow coming off the edge of the screen unless you move the map back into centre.

I am not sure if you understand what I'm trying to say but not sure how to explain it.

I guess the developer needs to instead of moving the arrow, scroll the map and keep the arrow in the center.

Can confirm it fixes OpenSource App Companion, but careful Nexus Mod Manager places the files in folder Fallout 4 \ Data not in Fallout 4.

Seems to break the official Companion though.

The break in the official app is because Bethesda fixed the official app to not need this. Why this has not been incorporated into the Open Source app, I do not know, but I'm starting to try to understand how this worked in the first place so I can then look at the Python source for the other...

I feel like I'm having to reinvent stuff trying to understand two other people's code to try to find my own fix... (I'd rather not use a loader kludge that seems to give me a crash on exit.)

    Sort of related...

I have a normal version of the game, but figured I'd try to use my Android mobile phone with the Pipboy App. I got a good deal of mods via the Mod Manager... all of which stopped working when I got the Pipboy on my phone working. I had to reinstall every mod for them to work again, after I took the Pipboy companion off.

Anyone have a problem like this?

This worked for me once, and now it just won't and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Looks like the latest update to the app breaks this :/

same here - stopped working after update

Try it without this patch. The update to the app look to have fix the bug for me. Making this obsolete.

I just wanted to post that I was able to get this fix to work with ReShade by renaming mapfix.dll to mapfix.asi, putting mapfix.asi in the Fallout 4 folder, and using the asi loader, xinput1_3.dll, that's included with ShadowBoost.

Stopping by to confirm that this works!! I was slightly confused about the xinput1_3.dll, but if you are already using shadowboost it will be in the right place already. If you aren't using shadowboost you should be anyway. Thank you so much simonizor, and of course TheCyberShadow for making it.
