I have an idea that might be a decent workaround for the power armor issue. Would it be possible to make a startup quest tied to a script that removes the compatibility perk upon entering power armor and adds it when you exit? (Additionally, this method could probably be used to add the perk to the player at the start of the game without using the console.)

I have no experience with scripting and the Fallout CK doesn't work on my PC, so all I can work with is FO4Edit. (The Skyrim CK works for me, so idk what the issue is with Fallout CK.) Would anybody out there be able to either make this into a mod/patch or teach me how to make it myself?

I was really hopeful about this, but it's not functional at all for me. The hotkey to hold breath while scoped changed from Alt to my bash/grenade on the SIG MCX Spear, however it also killed the sway while scoped so the whole function was just pointless. Side Aim functions were completely unresponsive no matter what I set my hotkeys to in MCM. Tested with the Spear, QBZ-191, and RU556 with appropriate SA patches, none of them responded to SA hotkeys.

So I think I was missing something last time I tried this... Recently cleaned up my load order and found the culprit blocking the SBRs Framework from running and it seems to have taken care of this entire STS-SA compatibility all on its own. I just wanted to clarify if this patch is really necessary? My scopes are all fully functional using SBRs with or without this patch, no disappearing bits, never applied the perk.

Edit - On further experimentation I did find at least one weapon that still requires this patch with the perk active to be fully compatible; the QBZ-191 will still fragment scopes without this when using the SBRs Framework + Side Aim patch.
      Thanks!

installed this as side aim made the main scope turn invisible or mostly invisible but this patch doesnt work for me. Does it only work for the weapons in OAOC?

I'm a bit confused on this vs. OAOC. Description sounds like this is better than OAOC since it doesn't need to patch individual weapons.

But description also talks about possibility of using them together. Don't the two mods do the same thing? When would you use both together?

"Entering/Exiting Power Armor will somehow nullify this perk .... you wont lose the Perk, but it unable to detect the sightedStateEnter anim event."
-Maybe cause Side Aim only edited “HumanRaceSubgraphDataAdditive” and didn't on "PowerAmorRaceSubgraphDataAdditive" of weapons.
