Please note that if you are using an ENB then you may not get the correct night vision and thermal image. For most ENB, these can be modified in Effect of ENB settings.
So it worked for me. I downloaded the GAE nvg (with PMC extended) though, don't know the one with non PMC version. I think that the people with problem is because they messed up the load order. GAE and PMC mod are supposed to be installed and loaded before pmc nvg, then gae nvg patch. Also, if you have any OTHER gunner faction related, or overhaul mod, you MUST install and load before too, same like gae and pmc.
I don't understand it's not working... it keeps saying fast helmet isn't equipped... I have the pmc toggle switch, so is there a gunner militia toggle switch i'm not seeing? I have both this and the pmc nvg mod installed... and I have nvgs on my gunner GAE helmet so I don't undestand what I did wrong.

Toggle switch button is working for both PMC and GM helmet, so when you saw Fast helmet isn't equipped, it shows that the button works, hey that's the bright side. Then I saw you have this and the PMC NVG Mod installed, I know it might sounds stupid, but please do check that this patch is load After the PMC NVG Mod and the Gunner Armor Expansion mod.Especially when only the PMC helmet works and the GM helmet does not. Or in a more simple way, just uncheck the original PMC NVG esp file
the whole pmc mod is completely broken. all of its script files are corrupted and the primary texture files are jumbled. you cannot load the mod and try to make anything without it softlocking you into either the chem station or armor workstation. also the mod has absolutely zero texture files available and the ck error list is enormous just for that one mod. also id check the actual bug list page from since the last update.
Ahh, the PMC mod is in fact a hard requirement. I thought I could get away without installing an armor mod I'd never use but it looks like I have to in order to get this working.
I think that's because the original PMC NVG mod need to use it. My script work is base on this mod so I need to keep the origin fonction as requirement.
But if you don't want to use PMC, you can use xEdit to remove the two PMC helmets and PMC omods, then you dont need it anymore.
If you could add this to this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/66809 it would be truly epic. Or if your willing the Trepang NVGS mod does not have Leveled list integration that would be dope.

I'm thinking of tounx anims for flipped down nv googles but it was tied to another mod one of their gun mods I think.

Yes just remove the Wedding Ring override then its safe to clean master.
