I think they say its unrealistic because proportionally speaking this is a 50 cal rifle scale where as a real life 20mm sniper rifle can be 12 feet long and up like the anzio? 20mm to give an idea the 20mm round is not far off the size of a typical 50 cal rifle reciver and why i think people think this is unrealistic but who cares its a good mod in a game meant for fun :)
So googled 20mm versus 50 caliber to see the actual difference in round size. There is a huge difference. At approximately 48,000 ft⋅lbf (65,000 J) of kinetic energy, the 20mm round, as fired out of the Anzio rifle, has nearly four times the energy of the . 50 BMG cartridge fired out of a comparable rifle, which is around 12,200 ft⋅lbf (16,500 J) of kinetic energy.
You might enjoy this mod if you like big big calibers. Modular Simonov PTRS-41 Anti-Tank Rifle (a real world WW2 weapon) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11925 I have had this in my game a long time and it is great. Nothing warms the heart more than watching super mutant cartwheeling across the sky.
You, sir, are a beast. This rifle should deliver better than 40,000 Joules of damage to target - almost 50k at the muzzle - or about 85 times the damage of a .45 ACP and should be scaled appropriately.
A .50 BMG hits with around 18kJ impact, so yes it should definitely kill a Behemoth with two or three rounds. So take that OP whiners. If you guys think weapons are overpowered, only use pipe weapons and have fun wasting ammo on "bullet sponges."
