If you have anything you'd like to possibly get a retexture or remodel of to give it a darker look and feel similar to the past games let me know and maybe you'll see something pop up in the future
Oddly, FO4's Pulowski is one of the things I thought improved over FO3 (the tool chest & aid box are some others) - so much so I found FO4 style mods of these to put into my FO3 (so clearly I'm not alone). However, maybe being British, I hate FO4's bright sunshine and so run mods forcing the weather to be cloudy-to-foggy and often rainy, which prob nicely mutes a lot of colours. Conversely, I suspect many ENB/lighting mods (& monitor settings) play a part too, making any bright colours too garish. Fortunately, there are mods to suit, so thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear you enjoy the mod. And I also liked the brighter look that Fo4 brought too at first but after a while I realized that it there was too much color too the point of drowning out everything else and it made it feel like it was less of an apocalypse. That was the magic about the other games was that everything looked dark, bleak, and bland so when you finally ran into things and places that had some color too them they stood out more from the drab of the wasteland such as The Fortress from Fo1, The Slags, New Reno and the NCRs Adobe buildings from Fo2, The metro signs, Paradise Falls and Harold's Oasis from Fo3, lastly of course the Strip from FNV they had the perfect amount of drab and blandness to the world so when you finally saw these places they felt special and unique. But aside from that again glad to hear you enjoyed the mod, I hope you enjoy some of the future stuff ive got coming out the pipe thats currently in the works
I'm an Xbox player who would like to bring this mod to the attention of the community to find a modder who can port it to bethesda.net. Do I have your permission? Thanks in advance for your reply
Sorry for the late response, I'll be trying to upload an Xbox port as soon as bethesdanet stops fuckin up and lets me link my account Update: Still can't link my accounts so im gonna contact bethesda support tomorrow and try to get them link so I can upload my mods to beth.net
I had the time today to fix my BethesdaNet account and uploaded my mod for both Xbox and PC. If you get the chance than, can you download it and let me know if it's working properly? I don't have an Xbox anymore so I can't check myself. - Many Thanks, GAK
HOW ABOUT FRIEND, AS ALWAYS YOUR MODIFICATIONS ARE A GREAT ADDMENT, ONE DOUBT IS THIS JUST A TEXTURE CHANGE? I USE A MOD WHICH MAKES THE Pulowski Preservation shelters SAVE WHEN I ENTER ONE AND I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS NO COMPATIBILITY
This is just a texture change, it doesn't touch the meshes or edit any of the animations or scripts that trigger the door closing animations, so this mod should be compatible as long as the other mod doesn't change the textures and if it does is loaded before this mod.
Loving the mods, as a big 3/NV fan your mods are a wonderful addition to my playthrough. Any chance we could get a Nuka Cola fridge from FO3 in the future?
Glad to hear your enjoying the mod and the title for the mod is to reflect the darker tone that the past games brought. p.s. Also keep your eyes open in the future for a possible return of the bulky clickity clack machine
Really like the way you made it look. Seems more like it is now part of a city instead of a prop from a high school play. Endorsed, and kudos to you....
Glad to hear that, im working on a new version that has them smaller and windowed off like the Fo3 Preservation Shelter, I also plan on adding the occupied sign back to them in some way
Hello. Thanks so much for sharing this immersive mod. A partial or complete classic fallout retexture of bricks, wood, or metal objects would be deeply appreciated. Would love to see stores and building textures in this game similar to moriarity saloon in FO3 and trudy's place in NV.
Thanks again for enhancing the immersion in fallout 4 =)
Glad to hear that you enjoy the mod and the next thing i planned on working on was some more of the props and junk items, followed up by some of the ground and wall covering to give them that fo3 feel, especially brown rusty i sore that is diamond city to either give it a nicer look somewhat closer to megaton/rivet city and also add some more character to it to make it stand out from the rest of the rusty shacks in the game..
Beautiful mate, such a small minor detail, yet it goes a long way. I'm seeing a trend lately with darkening the brighter colours in the game, and I'm all for it! Keep up the great work! I'd suggest maybe trying to darken the car colours next. As outlandish as the car designs are, I think they'd blend better with some more earthy tones! Either way man, great stuff, excited to see what other stuff you come up with!
If possible please de-rainbow the skyscrapers, in LOD and up close. That's my biggest dislike about fallout 4, is that it doesn't feel authentically fallout. it's too colourful. If you could possibly make the buildings dark and grey like this, similarly to the opening of fallout 1, it would help so much in getting this game to live up to it's name.
It probably is possible seeing as so many mods edit the LOD but messing with them is currently beyond me, in the future if I can learn how to do LOD packs ill take a crack at the textures but for right now the larger building I'm holding off on till I complete the smaller projects I'm working on (such as the Typewriter, Globes, and Protectron Pods from Fo3, I was also considering making a complete replacer for the preservation shelters with one made to look closer to the original)
Would be great if they moved the whole city underground instead and have a new city made there and have the above ground in total ruins as in the concept arts ;) someone just have to move all quests and parhaps rewrite atleast the trinity tower and mass fusion part if so but otherwise it should'nt be all that hard, parhaps tedious :)
