I wanted to comment in case anyone else was having trouble finding them! Go to Cutler Bend, (look up Cutler Bend Fallout 4 and look on the Wiki for location on the map) go to the weird Children of Atom shack house thing, and then look South. (The bottom of the screen minimap thing shows cardinal directions!)
My Mutant Hound (now named Daisy! Or at least will be once Sup F4se is working) was over there fighting 2 Yao Guai. If that doesn't work, use VATS to scan the area. It should have a green health bar showing it's friendly.
Hopefully, this helps someone else who is as bad at directions (and sense of direction) as I am, lol. Thank you so much for this mod by the way. I love the Mutant Hounds!!
how are your monster companion considered for the Lone wanderer perk ? will the perk work with this mutant hound ? and what about some of your others (like radroach or mirelurk) ?
Killer Dawg! Definitely NOT subtle, in other words - a perfect pet for a newly crowned little raider overboss queen. But if you gonna give this cute little guy a name, there is only one top murda dog - Cujo! I think I was about 9 or 10 when I saw that movie, I was scared ****less of all dogs for months^^.
Question though: I remember with the old New Vegas, you could just install simple companion mods twice or three times over, just need to make sure spawn points were not exactly identical; I had a whole family of different colored scorpions living behind my shack. I suspect it aint that easy for FO4, if I wanted a second mutie dog, right? So is it possible at all, if yes how complicated is it?
In any case, thank you very much for my perfect raider pet! This dude is waaay cooler to hang out with than dumb ol' Dogmeat. My one and only request for the guy would be a really beefy spiked collar! No more armor than that.
Well, in theory it is very simple. But if you wanted to install this mod multiple times (rename one of the files, only one ba2 is necessary), then you would want to create a compatibility patch for them to make sure it runs smoothly... fairly simple, something akin to this: https://youtu.be/YuQ0lJat_w0
Awesome, thanks for the quick answer. So not that much different from the olden days^^.
However, I tried out this one https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61965 and it is awefrikkinsome. No need for a second iteration of your mod, now I got Cujo (your mod) & Cerberus (DM as Mutant Hound from changer mod) strolling around my raunchy HR-Establishment at Red Rocket, keeping the customers in line^^. Also got me a texture replacer and xedited Cujo a couple inches taller, so they both look the part as well, all in all I am very happy about this. Since the DMchanger hound still retains a lot of DMs mannerisms, its good to have another pet dog that is less stressful to look after when traveling with him^^.
Does he act like Dogmeat in regard to storing items, combat AI, being an extra follower like Dogmeat where you can have Dogmeat and a humanoid follower?
Actually, he acts like a regular mutant hound with companion abilities. The extra follower thing isn't a base game thing (the scripts are there, but it requires mods to work, so I just made him a generic companion.)
Kinda what I meant but good to know. Would be nice to see a patch that replaces dogmeat... But then that would just be a skin change. Hmm reminds me I have a transdogifier...
Oh look. IT'S SMILEY! I wonder why he is smiling... at me?
Next task: Armor and sh*t.
BTW Does he take up the companion slot when traveling with you? Or is he a follower? And if you stick him in a settlement, does he take up a settler slot or guard dog slot? Important stuff for the settlement manager y'know... paperwork and all that ;).
Yep, it acts like any other companion. As for settlement work, I believe I set it up in a way where you can only move him around, but he should have intrinsic 6 defense value.
