Chapter 3 will start automatically if you have already completed the Chapter 2 quests in your save - but...
..the 3.0.0 patch itself will take several minutes to run it's update code on your save, more if you have a lot of built up settlements.
After a few minutes, if you are in the exterior of the Commonwealth, Aiden should call you on the HQ Radio. If you happen to be in a scene, workshop mode, or a crafting bench when he calls, you will get a misc objective to call him.
Sleeping/Waiting will not speed this process up, in fact it will make things worse as each day that passes, more code has to run from the base game system.
While not an explicit requirement of any of the Sim Settlements mods, the Interior NavCut Fix is one of the best settlement fixes ever and I highly recommend you use it, especially if you are playing the SS2 questline as the HQ's multiple cells benefit greatly from it.
When trying to install the all chapters pack on MO2 v2.5.2 I get a extraction failed: Data Error, is there a fix? Also apologies if this is not the right place to ask
I don't think you're the only one who's having issues. I updated and my textures are corrupted with SS2 specific furniture. Jakes terminal had a lost textured screen for me and one of the decorative items in one of my settlements had giant stretchy textures. I'm reinstalling my copy to see if it will fix anything
hey guys. I have an issue in chapter 3 Hostile Waters mission when I want to equip a rank 3 with medic pack there is no button showing up on the settlers. in fact the manage soldier button didn't show up at all during my playthrough. what should I do?
There are 2 more files on SS2 main page, SS2 DLC settlers patch and SS2 Extended Outfit Injection. Do we need to grab them even if we still use SS2 Chapter 3 all in One?
Still no fix for the blueprint select bug that wont let you choose witch blueprint to build it only does random tried all the fixes people sugested and even uninstaled my entire game and downloaded just downloaded sim settlement 2 and its requirements and still having same issue used to work perfectly but since 2 updates ago been having this issue.

Im having th exact same problem as well. It started yesterday when I wanted to change one plot to recreational and make another single player residential plot multiplayer. I was able to change plot type, but was unable to choose the building plan I wanted. I got the message "another plot customization is still being processed". Ive tried the few suggestions available online, but mostly this seems to be a pretty old issue that nobody can, or wont, troubleshoot. Thinking of asking in the SS2 forums.
GUYS HELP! I did everything as per the guide, took a magazine, built a radio beacon, waited for this stranger to come and trying to talk to him he just answers at once like "hi how are you" or something like that, but at the same time the dialogue itself, which should start the plot, does not start. If anything, I tried to delete all mods except ss2 and auxiliary ones and nothing changed. (According to the plot of the main game, I advanced to Diamond City) p.s. The Customizable factiosn add-on that requires SS2 Extended, increases load times and, for some reason, increases the time on which it takes to open and use the workshop. I have had 18-22 second load times when launching the game, to get to the loading menu for a save. I have 8-12 second delays/freezes when I access the workshop. I have contended with this since February and got so annoyed I took my list apart to hunt it down :)
While I am unsure as to the WHY, and can only guess, I wanted to toss it out there incase other's have a similar issue. I HAD ASSUMED it was because I had so much crap in my workshop menus. Suffice to say, I can keep my crap and kill this
The captives are became a hostile after liberating Egert tours marina, so my solution was go as far away as i can from them however those settlers were still name captives and were highlighted in red. Is this part of the script or it's a bug and how to solve it?
