I assume you mean a female version of Roland? I have no plans for that at this time. You might check out some of the other companion mods on the Nexus, there are several highly regarded female ones.
I've been testing my half-ghoul gunslinger player character based on my Sexy Hancock mod, and I even AI generated Nate's lines in Hancock's voice. It's about 85% there...still some weird sounding lines to iron out, but it's getting there. I think these two would be a riot together.
So the inevitable question: do I HAVE to have a silent protagonist for this? I get that some lines will just be responded to on screen, and I'm okay with that. I'm mostly just testing anyway, but I kinda need the voice in order to test out the lines that didn't generate so well so I can re-record them.
Along those same lines, you might also want to check out FallTalk if you ever do want to make this a fully voiced player response. Like most AI toys right now, it's scary-accurate when it gets it right and laughably horrible what it gets wrong. But with not too much effort, well, it just works. And if you need to roll back your version of Creation Kit, you can grab the download depots on Steam and you should be back in business! Cheers!
No you don't need the silent protagonist mod, there just won't be voice lines for most of the player dialogue. Everyone thing else will work fine. And yeah I've entertained the idea of using AI to generate the player voice lines. Right now I just don't have a lot of interest in revisiting this mod, but if I ever do I'll probably try out some voice generation. The good news is that I already got my Fallout 4 CK working again, so coming back to this mod would be pretty easy now.
I'm having a lot of fun filing in some of the more garbled voice lines I've run through FallTalk, and trying to patch Player Comments with it. I want to start trying to add new comments just for the heck of it to see how it's done. Scripting is my kryptonite, but this mod has inspired me to give it a shot!
Could you upload previous version of your mod, please? I have a GOG version of the game and there's no Next gen update for GOG yet. Current version of this mod doesn't work for me :(
Sorry late reply, but this mod hasn't been updated since before the next-gen update came out. If the latest version isn't working for you, the problem is something else. As a side note, the update shouldn't have broken this mod as far as I'm aware. Personally, I've downgraded so I haven't done much testing with the next-gen update. My Fallout 4 CK is busted though now, seemingly because it isn't compatible with the downgraded version of the game, so I'm pretty limited on my end currently in regards to supporting my Fallout 4 mods.
Thanks for the reply. I have no idea what's wrong then. It doesn't work even with a new save and no other mods installed. Oh well... maybe one day I'll figure it out
I have the same problem! Update: I solved the problem but I am not sure how... I have reinstalled the mod, I have restarted my laptop... Nothing special. But now, I have found the note!
I'm not sure which armor you're referring too, but no, this mod doesn't add any new armor. The outfits in my screenshots that aren't the western duster from Nuka-World are armors ported from Fallout 76.
I really appreciated your mod, the character speaks little and works well, especially at high levels he is decidedly effective and proactive, with the right weapon! Nothing to do with the Vanilla companions, all of whom I find rather poor in combat. TYVM
I hope you see this post and it does you well. The Nexus for Fallout 4 is limited on 3 major things. 1.) Companion mods. 2.) Good companion mods that are actually voiced and have some clear passion behind them. And 3.) MALE COMPANION MODS. In one fell swoop you managed to check all 3 boxes and knock out of the park everything I've been looking for in the nexus. Truly amazing. I play as a male character and prefer to travel with male companions (MacCready, Strong, Preston, etc) when I'm not traveling with dogmeat. I know there are a few well made male companion mods on the nexus that are pretty good (Companion Buttons comes to mind), but they are so few and far between. So seeing this one come out of the blue, really made my day. Can't wait to try it out in my current playthrough. Very well done and kudos.
To get the unique vault suit line to play you should just have to set some sort of condition on the line itself that references if the player is wearing the vault suit.
There are other NPC's in the game who will react to the player wearing the vault suit, though I can't think of a specific example off the top of my head, I'd suggest checking one of those lines in xEdit then seeing how it was done and replicating that for your line.
just letting you know, your voice sounds just fine, and you don't really need to be a professional voice actor, all you need is a good mic and good story telling and that's it really.
anyway i think you did a fine job, it would be cool if he had more dialogue or a larger quest, but he's still really cool as is.

I don't think this was made with the newest game though, it was updated 3 days before the NextGen update.

Edit: Piper has some lines involving that
