kinda 2 years late but maybe if anyone reads it its til of use to someone. anyways, "weapons of fate" has this exact feature. also little more realistic bullet travel time (shorter) and drop. also there are patches for new caliber for it
I believe it's implied that when you have a suppressor on your weapon you're also using subsonic ammunition (which certainly makes sense as why would you still use regular ammunition if you're trying to be stealthy? Granted it doesn't make perfect sense in all cases but it makes enough sense in enough cases.).
I didn't say that the suppressor lowers muzzle velocity, I said it's reasonable to assume that if you're using a suppressor then you'd be using subsonic ammunition too the entire point of which is to travel slower than a regular bullet so as not to break the sound barrier and produce a ballistic crack. Again it doesn't make perfect sense that a suppressor could magically convert your ammunition from one type to another but it's a precedent already set by the game where to load for example armour piercing rounds you have to build another receiver entirely which magically converts all regular rounds into armour piercing ones.
i always interpreted the different receivers as being modifications to allow them to accept higher tolerances and allow more hot loaded ammunition. not perfect but makes some sense.
I'm sure this is just wishful thinking, but is there any chance rolling these into a bundle and have the separate parts managed via MCM? I know it's a million dollar idea, but I am going to gift it to you. I just would appreciate a credit when it becomes a top DL.
Does this work with the Vault-tec Accelerated Focus System mod at http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15875/? It'd be super cool to actually see the bullets in full motion all the time with this.
I think it'd perhaps be better to create separate mod for all ammo renames and additional cartridges. They're features that are a big wide of the specific scope of this mod and increase chance of incompatibility with other mods users might have.
Agreed, I use a weapons pack that adds many real-world weapons and ammunitions to the game, including .338 lapua. I'd like to download this mod, but I am almost certain the added ammunitions will make them incompatible.
009 installer not working for me did a manual install of all the plugins I wanted and it works but one thing could there be an option for an all in one esp? trying to cut down on plugins
Just download it then remove all references to DLC content with FO4Edit, don't forget to remove the DLC master ESMs in the file header else the game will crash because it thinks the plugin still needs the DLC plugins to be loaded.
you can create a fake esp. just copy and paste another esp file and rename it to the dlc esp. this will let you open it in fo4edit but any linked references to the dlc will show as null so be sure to remove everything thoroughly
So does this mod add these effects to guns using the vanilla ammo types (including weapons from mods that use vanilla ammo) or does it add the effect directly to the vanilla guns themselves thus excluding mod weapons?
