No, there are no mods that lower my health pool. I think when I got hit by those grenades I was already at low health, so one-shot was not the correct term. Still, is it supposed to do damage if I have the option for Armor Penetration off in MCM?
On the better power armor redux, it just looks like the the bullets are being absorbed into oblivion when shooting at a armor covered part of power armor on enemies, no collision, nor any collision effect (bullet hitting the power armor). is it also the case here?
Yes, because the Actor/NPC/Player needs to take "Health Damage" for the HitFX to trigger (blood or spark etc.). I've made a custom patch for this by adding a bunch of keywords that cover most if not all attack types (even those from NPC dmg sources/ammo types) and put them under the low penetration list at 5% (though this could probably be as low as 1%). I'd love to see a F4SE/Bastion level fix for this issue though as otherwise, everything with Bastion works great.

So for the plasma grenade, this means 40% of their damage after DR is health damage. Are you using mods that buff explosives or lower your HP pool?
