This is one of the most underrated mods on the Nexus. This mod completely redesigned how I interact with food in FO4. The stat boosts, carry weight adjustments, and effects are all great. It got me to take Lead Belly for literally the first time ever. Combined with True Perks it makes for a very fulfilling playthrough. Bravo!
Would it be ok for me to tweak the 'Chance None' in xEdit to diminish the drop of leveled items? Feeling like getting a food item from every cooler is too much
IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR GAME FREEZING, UPDATE TO 1.2!
Basically, peak value modifier magic effects do not work the same way in FO4 as they do in Skyrim, possibly due to an engine bug, so my implementation of stat buffs could cause the game to freeze if you took a new perk while having an active food buff.
It took me soooo long to figure this out - it wasn't a crash, so no crash logs, Escape Freeze F4SE wasn't helping, and it wasn't obviously food-related so I didn't really suspect Yellowcake as the source. I would still be in the dark if I hadn't gotten frustrated and started looking through the Buffout 4 bug reports for some miracle, WHICH I FOUND - a bug report from eclix (author of MAIM) that described the problem. Once I knew what was wrong, it took me five minutes in the CK to fix. So yeah, go endorse eclix's mods.
I use New Recipes 2 (all three modules), Commonwealth Cooking, Wild Soup Recipes and Wild Dessert Recipes... The first two are fairly large so I understand that it amounts to an unreasonable amount of work though :'D If you're up for patching any of them, great, otherwise I'll just do it myself when I can. I'm glad you made this overhaul because I've been wanting to remove OP food buffs from the game for quite some time now and you've provided motivation.
I added a patch for Wild Soup Recipes (including a fix for the razorgrain soup recipe, plus some name changes that are Opinionated so feel free to revert them). I probably won't do one for Wild Dessert Recipes (idk how to fit those into the Yellowcake paradigm, they're kinda weird). Patches for New Recipes 2 and Commonwealth Cooking won't be coming quickly - they both add so many foods! Deciding on buffs for all of them is a process. I'll get to them when I get to them.
Thanks for doing that. Unfortunately, I can't use the patch now since you decided to compact for esl and said patch is dependent on that version. I've been working on adapting my LO to Yellowcake the last couple of days :'D I quickly realized it would be very time consuming when I started doing it, so I definitely know what you mean by process. Until (if) you make official patches I've mostly implemented your keywords and basic stats. No putting much energy into deciding individual buffs in most cases, at least not at this moment since I mostly want to lay the groundwork but the difference in game is still exactly what I want.
Please prioritize Commonwealth Cooking when you get to it. It's the better mod imo and New Recipes 2 just adds so much it becomes cluttered. It feels unnecessary with Yellowcake.
Edit: also forgot to mention I'm using Military MREs which is a great complement to your packed lunches because it's so well made.
I would probably have one food item with two recipes. I didn't want to clutter the mod up with too many similar items, so I did this for Claw Jerky, Lurk Chowder, and Royal Lurk Chowder using deathclaw/gatorclaw meat and mirelurk/nukalurk meat. So for example you could change Mirelurk Egg Omelette to Lurk Egg Omelette and add an alternative recipe.
I compacted your ESP for ESL and everything looks good. However, It would be better if you did this and hosted the files here. The process would auto-update the FormID of the S7 patch too.
Load main mod and patches in xEdit. YOU MUST LOAD WITH REFERENCES ENABLED. Do not press shift when loading.
Select to Compact for ESL.
Accept warning and let it run
Flag the plugin as ESL
Save and exit
All changes go bold as usual. You'll see the S7 patch updated to the FormID changed in the main Yellowcake mod.
EDIT - I went ahead and released my compacted version. Feel free to use that ESP if you want. Then I'll drop that mod page.

Edit: I think I'm getting rid of New Recipes 2 efter adding Yellowcake.

Going to try this out and add a patch for the overhaul in my testing playthrough.
Edit: Local copy is just duplicating the existing recipes for Mirelurk for now.

I compacted and esl-flagged the plugin myself and updated the RobCo patcher.
