I really enjoy Mutant Menagerie LFAW, but I also don't have all the time in the world to scour every inch of the Commonwealth looking for its books. This mod helps with that.
It's a patch to leverage the nifty mod Discover Nearby Collectible Items to work with Mutant Menagerie Life Finds a Way. You'll now get map markers for the following Mutant Menagerie items:
Once installed, Discover Nearby Collectible Items runs passively in the background, no need to activate. It waits for you to get within the radius of a particular item. When you do, it will add a map marker to the exact location of that item. All the functionality for doing this comes from Discover Nearby Collectible Items, which I didn't create. I just made this patch.

Important Notes:
- The default search radius of Discover Nearby Collectible Items is huge and will probably reveal more than you want to see. There should still be some fun in finding these things. You can adjust the search radius to suit your tastes with a console command described on the mod's page.
- What will happen: when you load into an area with a collectible it will pop up a message saying "Collectible". That always happens no matter the radius setting and lets you know one or more items is in the vicinity. Then it depends on your radius and if you're close enough to the item to actually reveal the marker. The smaller the radius, the more searching around you have to do.
- If an item is in an interior cell, you will not get a marker for it until you actually load into the interior.
- Since the core purpose of Discover Nearby Collectible Items is to mark all the vanilla skill magazines and bobble-heads, those will also appear with this patch.
- Okay to install/uninstall on existing save game.
